🎉 IT’S OFFICIAL… WE’RE OPENING! 🎉

After months of planning, designing, building, painting, organising (and probably far too much caffeine!), we can finally share the date we’ve been working towards…

💛 TODDLER PLAY OFFICIALLY OPENS MONDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER! 💛

We are SO excited to finally open our doors and welcome you all into Toddler Play. 🥹

Before our official opening, we’ll be enjoying a special Friends & Family Day on Saturday 26th September giving the people who have supported us behind the scenes the chance to experience Toddler Play before we officially open to the public on the Monday.

Each week we’ll be bringing different themes, activities and play experiences into the centre, giving you even more reasons to come back and play.

👀 WANT TO VISIT BEFORE WE OFFICIALLY OPEN?

During the week beginning 21st September, we’ll be holding TWO LIVE TRAINING DAYS for our new team.

For each training day, we’ll open a very limited number of spaces for 5 children and their accompanying adults to come along and enjoy Toddler Play.

These sessions will give our team the opportunity to put their training into practice in a real environment and we’d love those attending to explore the space and give us their feedback before opening day. 💛

Details of how to book one of these limited training spaces will be announced soon, so keep an eye on our page! 👀

It’s time to show you another part of Toddler Play…. Our Role Play Village!!!!

🦁 Into the Jungle 🦁
Explore, climb and escape down the slide. Let imagination run wild.

❄️ Ice Castle ❄️
Step into a magical frozen world, dress up as an ice princess or prince, and take your place on the throne.

💄 Beauty Studio 💄
A beautiful little salon where mini stylists can brush, pamper, pretend and get themselves, and grown-ups, ready for the day.

🍦Ice Cream Parlour 🍦
Take orders, serve up pretend sundaes, ice creams and ice lollies, or pop up to the counter for a very important ice cream date.

🧱Construction Zone 🧱
Hard hats at the ready! Build, create, fix and get to work with tools, trucks and plenty of hands-on construction play.

Inside each house will be filled with carefully chosen toys, equipment and accessories so children can really immerse themselves in the role they’re playing.

There’s a lot of painting, decorating and accessory fitting between how the houses are right now, and our concept design image, but we’re so excited to make the concept a reality.

Now the important question… Which one is your little one heading to first?!

WE’RE HIRING 📣

With opening day getting closer, it’s time to start building the team! 💛

We’re looking for two friendly, enthusiastic, reliable people to join us as Play & Cafe Team Members.

One minute you might be making coffees and welcoming families, and the next you could be setting up a craft activity, helping prepare for one of our themed events or getting everything ready for a birthday party.

We have two positions available:

💛 Position 1 – 16.5 contracted hours per week
3 shifts per week, with weekday shifts running 09:15–14:45 plus Saturday event/party shifts.

❤️ Position 2 – Casual / variable hours
Perfect for someone looking for more flexibility, with regular Saturday work plus additional weekday, party, event and school-holiday hours available.

✨ £13.00 per hour
🏫 School-time weekday hours
📅 Fixed days may be possible where required
⏰ Overtime available
🎉 Saturday availability is essential for both positions
☕ Full training provided
🥤 Staff discount on food and drinks
👶 Free entry for you and your child

We’re looking for people who genuinely enjoy working with children and families, have great customer-service skills and aren’t afraid to get stuck in. You’ll need to be just as comfortable serving a coffee as you are helping us create a brilliant themed activity or party!

Experience in hospitality, cafés, events, childcare or customer service would be great, but personality, reliability and enthusiasm are just as important to us.

📅 Interview week: Week commencing 31st August
🎓 Training: Week commencing 14th September
🌟 Start date: Monday 21st September

📸 Saturday 24th October – Halloween Photo Shoot Event

We’re joined by New Focus Photography for some seriously spooky smiles! 👻📸
Standard entry includes 2.5 hours of play, with an optional £15 per family 10-minute mini photo shoot in our dedicated photo area.
And because it’s a Saturday, older siblings are welcome to come along and join the shoot! 🧡

👻 Saturday 31st October – Halloween Parties! 🎃
Our Halloween celebrations finish the month in style with fancy dress, a Halloween character appearance, entertainment & activities, Halloween toys, a party bag for every child and speciality autumn drinks available for the grown-ups! 🕷️🦇

🪵🍃🐌WOODLAND BABY AREA 🐰🦌🌳

It’s time to reveal another one of our fantastic areas, this time it’s our Woodland Baby Area, featuring the most gorgeous wall mural 💚

We’ve designed a calm, beautiful space especially for our babies, crawlers and little explorers to discover, move and play at their own pace.

We’re bringing the outside inside with:

🌳 A beautiful woodland setting
🍃 Soft artificial grass
🦌 Woodland themed play mats
🐰 Cosy spaces for little ones to explore
🪵 Natural wooden furniture
🏡 Our gorgeous mini woodland house
🪞 A baby safe pull-up mirror
✨ A low level activity table
🧸 Montessori inspired toys

We want this area to feel calm, natural and inviting, while still giving the littlest visitors plenty to see, touch, explore and discover.

✨ AREA 2 OF 7 REVEAL – OUR SENSORY ROOM ✨

The fit-out starts now! 💙

We're beginning to transform a once empty space into this beautifully designed, calming, immersive sensory room, filling it with incredible equipment where children can explore, relax, regulate and discover through light, colour and sensory play.

Our sensory room features:
💙 2 Bubble tubes
💙 A bubble wall
💙 An infinity mirror
💙 A light-up discovery table
💙 Illuminated sensory blocks and pebbles
💙 Light boxes and sensory resources
💙 Soft bean bags for relaxing
💙 A calming dark environment with ambient blue lighting

Every area we're creating has been carefully designed to give children a unique experience. We can't wait to start bringing this room to life!
