Community Counselling North Yorkshire Limited We provide accessible, professional, evidence-based, & cost-effective therapeutic interventions to people in Ryedale, and where appropriate in Scarborough.

Community Counselling was established in 1995 in order to provide an accessible and confidential counselling service to people, aged 18 and over, living in North Yorkshire. It became an independent charity in April 2013. Most of our services are free to clients, thanks to the generous support of our funders and commissioners. We offer counselling at a range of times to suit clients. Counselling is

typically short-term i.e. an initial assessment appointment followed by six counselling sessions. Sessions are normally held weekly, lasting between 50 and 60 minutes. Our Specialist Counselling Service also offers long-term counselling to people who have experienced, or have been affected by, domestic abuse, sexual violence or sexual abuse.
