☀️ Stay safe in the hot weather ☀️

Please be aware, there is an amber heat health alert in effect from 26th to 28th May across the West Midlands.

While many people enjoy warmer summer weather, hot weather can cause some people to become unwell through overheating (becoming uncomfortably hot), dehydration, heat exhaustion and heatstroke.

🚶 Plan physical exercise during cooler times of the day
🏠 Keep your home cool by closing windows and curtains in rooms that face the sun
💧 Drink plenty of fluids and limit your alcohol intake
📞 Check on family, friends and neighbours who may be at higher risk of becoming unwell
🚑 Know the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke and what to do if you or someone else has them
☀️ Try to avoid direct sunlight, especially between 11am and 3pm when UV levels are highest
🕶️ Cover up with suitable clothing, wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses, seek shade and apply sunscreen liberally and re-apply frequently

Two incredible women from history are now being celebrated right here in Priory Park!

Meet the brand-new statues of 🎶 Jenny Lind, the 'Swedish Nightingale', and 🕯️Florence Nightingale, the 'Lady with the Lamp', now installed in the walled garden by the Swan Pool.

Not only were they legends in their own fields, they were also great friends, with Jenny even helping fund Florence’s pioneering nursing school.

Created by artist blacksmith Andrew Findlay Artist Blacksmith at Eastnor Forge, the sculptures recognise the icons' connections to Great Malvern.

📸 A perfect new spot to explore, reflect, and snap a photo!
