For 25+ years, we’ve provided safe, loving homes for vulnerable children and welcome foster carers, fundraisers, and supporters to join our mission. The Foster Care Charity (FCC) is an ethical, not-for-profit UK fostering organisation and registered UK charity. Any surplus income we make is re-invested to provide more support and training for our foster families and specialist carers. Founded in 1

999, we provide caring, supportive homes for vulnerable children across Wales and central/northern England. We focus on careful child-to-carer matching to help ensure children experience less disruption and have better home stability. Our head office is in Malvern, Worcestershire and our regional teams operate across South Wales, Yorkshire, the North West, the Midlands, East Anglia and Bristol/the South West.

🐾 Got a dog? You could still foster!
One of the questions we hear from people thinking about fostering is:

“Can I foster if I have a dog?” 🐶
The answer is yes, in many cases.

Your dog will be considered as part of your fostering assessment, and your fostering service will make sure any placement is safe and suitable for both your dog and the child.

And for some children, having a friendly four-legged companion around can bring comfort, companionship and a little bit of joy during a difficult time.
