LET'S CONTINUE BUILDING THE LAGOS OF OUR DREAMS

Lagos is a product of vision, continuity and the commitment of people who believe in what our state can become. At Lagos Grassroots Alliance, we believe in the existing structure that has been built over the years, a foundation laid through the vision and foresight of H.E Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), former Governor of Lagos State and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We believe this foundation must be strengthened and built upon for the continued development of Lagos.

As a family, we are giving all it takes towards the development and actualisation of the Lagos of our dreams. As we galvanise support and mobilise people across the grassroots for the emergence of Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat (KOH) as the next Governor of Lagos State under the All Progressives Congress (APC), our focus remains on continuity, progress and a Lagos that works for all. Let's continue building the Lagos of our dreams.

One Lagos, Many Voices.

Saturday, 15th August, 2026.

We successfully swore in the Local Coordinators and Managers of the Lagos Grassroots Alliance, Lagos West II, at the Ojo Local Government Secretariat.

The event brought together stakeholders from across Lagos West II and beyond, with the special presence of the Member representing Ojo Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Ege Olusegun. In his remarks, he charged the newly inaugurated coordinators and managers to remain distinct, focused and committed to one platform, avoiding affiliation with multiple groups so they can be clearly distinguished by their dedication and identity.

In my remarks, I encouraged the coordinators and managers to hit the ground running by actively expanding the Alliance and bringing on board new members who are not currently card-carrying members of the APC. The task ahead is clear, and we must get to work immediately.

Friday, 7th August, 2026.

We successfully inaugurated the Local Coordinators and Local Managers of the Lagos Grassroots Alliance, Lagos West 1, at Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA.

The event brought together stakeholders from across Lagos West 1, comprising Ikeja, Mushin, Ifako-Ijaiye, Agege, and Oshodi/Isolo LGAs, in a strong show of unity and commitment to the grassroots movement.

In my remarks, I emphasized the importance of the responsibility ahead, reminding the newly inaugurated members that this is a call to action and an opportunity to make meaningful impact within their communities. I reassured them that the Lagos Grassroots Alliance is a community, not merely a group, where members will enjoy shared opportunities and benefits. I also charged them to remain focused, avoid distractions and unnecessary affiliations, and distinguish themselves through commitment, discipline, and service.

The newly inaugurated members were presented with their appointment letters, after which the event was rounded off with memorable photo sessions.

Saturday, 1st August, 2026.

I joined the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South West), Moremi Ojudu, on her Market Storm community engagement tour in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government.

The tour, led by the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Akindipe, took the delegation through Boundary Market and Suru Alaba Market. We engaged traders and residents, highlighting the various initiatives and people-oriented programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration while also receiving valuable feedback from the people for onward transmission to the President. The delegation also paid homage to the traditional rulers of the area, including the Oluwa of Apapa Kingdom and the Ojora of Ijora Land.

In my remarks, I encouraged the good people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun to continue supporting the present administration and sustain the progress being recorded. I assured them that the community engagement initiative would not be a one-off exercise but a continuous process with regular follow-up visits. I also emphasized that the Lagos Grassroots Alliance is a platform for every resident of Lagos, irrespective of background, and not for a select few. As we prepare for the forthcoming elections, I stressed that everyone has a role to play in building a stronger and more prosperous Lagos.

The exercise was vibrant, engaging, and highly rewarding. It was encouraging to receive positive feedback from residents, reaffirming the importance of continuous grassroots engagement and people-centered governance.

Saturday, 4th July, 2026.

I was privileged to serve as one of the panelists at the colloquy of Dr. Seriki Muritala , APC Lagos State Youth Leader and LSHA candidate for Kosofe Constituency II. The event brought together respected leaders and young people across Lagos to discuss the theme, “Chasing Your Dreams: Everything Is Possible,” which reminded me that with purpose, resilience, and God’s grace, dreams can indeed become reality.

During the discussion, I emphasised the importance of consultation before making major decisions and the need for every young aspirant to have a *mentor* whose guidance and experience can help shape a successful leadership journey.

I congratulate my brother, Dr. Muritala Seriki, on the success of the colloquy and wish him a happy birthday in advance. I pray God grants him greater wisdom, good health, and continued success in all his endeavours.

Your Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

On this special day, I find myself reflecting not just on the leader you are, but on the man you have shown yourself to be to me personally.

As the youngest Permanent Board Member of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, I have had the privilege of witnessing governance from a perspective few my age get to see. And through it all, you have been more than a Governor. You have been a mentor. A father figure. A living example that leadership is not about titles, but about impact.

Your Excellency, you have a way of making even the youngest among us feel seen and heard. You do not look at age; you look at capacity. You do not dismiss dreams; you nurture them. You have given me and countless other young people a seat at the table, not as tokens, but as contributors. That is the mark of a leader who truly believes in the future he is building. You are building not just roads and schools, but people. And I am one of the people you have built.

I will never forget the quiet moments of encouragement, the nods of approval, the words that said, "Keep going." In a world where young people are often told to wait their turn, you have told us to take our place. You have shown us that leadership is not about age; it is about readiness, and you have trusted us to be ready. For that, I am eternally grateful.

Lagos is greater because of you. And I am better because of you.

As you turn 61, I pray that the Almighty continues to strengthen you, guide you, and grant you many more years of good health, sound mind, and unwavering grace. May your legacy continue to inspire generations, and may the city you love continue to flourish under your watch.

Thank you, sir, for showing us that leadership with heart is not just possible, but powerful.

With deepest gratitude and respect,

OJ. Falana
Permanent Board Member

Today, I visited the site of the recent bomb scare incident in Mushin alongside Chief Tajudeen Faronbi, the Baale of Oke Mushin to conduct an on-the-spot inspection and assess the situation firsthand.

During the visit, I met with the Chairman and former Chairman of the Wey Street Leather Association, who provided a detailed account of the incident and its impact on the community. I commiserated with them over the unfortunate occurrence and engaged in discussions on practical measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

I also reassured them that the Lagos State Government remains open to recommendations and collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing the safety and security of our people. I emphasized that safeguarding our communities is not the responsibility of one individual or institution alone, but a collective duty that requires the active participation of all stakeholders.

Together, we must remain vigilant, united, and committed to building a safer Mushin and a safer Lagos for everyone.

The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.. Michelangelo

If our young people are not better than us, then we failed.

It's that simple!
