I am honoured to be at the Education World Forum 2026 as a Full Delegate, representing Lagos State and Nigeria.

This is the largest gathering of education and skills ministers globally, and the theme, “Educating for a shared future: Peace, planet, purpose and pathways", could not be more urgent or inspiring.

I am deeply grateful to His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the approval and confidence to be part of this historic forum.

Your unwavering commitment to transforming basic education in Lagos continues to open global doors for our state.

Our Nigerian Delegation is ably led by Dr. Tunji Alausa, and I am proud to learn, share, and bring back insights that will strengthen the work we do at the Universal Basic Education Board, Lagos.

Let us keep building a future where every child, everywhere, has access to quality education.

Focusing on the first E in our THEMES+ agenda, which is Education and Technology, the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle sits on nearly 12 hectares and serves about 20,000 students across 36 schools, both primary and secondary.

Before the upgrade, many of the buildings were in poor condition. Today, the entire complex has been rebuilt and expanded, marking its most significant transformation since it was established over 40 years ago.

New classroom blocks have been added to reduce overcrowding. The facilities now include a football pitch, sports courts, a health centre, a fire station, and essential services like solar power and improved water systems.

There is also a clear focus on inclusion. Dedicated buildings for students with disabilities have been introduced, along with lifts to make movement easier within the complex. A vocational centre is now in place, offering training in practical skills such as tailoring, plumbing, and masonry.

With an ICT hub and a central laboratory, students are better positioned to engage with science and technology in a more hands-on way.

Overall, the project creates a more supportive and functional learning environment for a densely populated community.

Saturday, 14th March, 2026.

I was privileged to serve as a facilitator at the Community Engagement Staff Retreat organized by the Office of the SSA to the President on Community Engagement (South West).

During the retreat, I delivered a presentation on “Stakeholder Mapping and Community Power Structures.” The session was highly interactive, featuring engaging discussions, insightful questions, and valuable contributions from participants across the South-West region.

It was also an opportunity for me to share my personal journey and experiences in community engagement over the years, highlighting the importance of collaboration, grassroots understanding, and strategic stakeholder relationships in driving meaningful development.

I sincerely appreciate the SSA to the President on Community Engagement (South West), Moremi Ojodu, for creating this platform that connects with young minds and prospective leaders across the region, while fostering knowledge sharing and capacity building.

It was indeed a rewarding experience contributing to conversations that will strengthen community engagement and leadership at the grassroots.

Friday, 13th March, 2026.

I was privileged to attend the official launch of the Lagos Education Access Fund, an initiative of the Lagos State Government in collaboration with the Education Outcomes Fund.

I joined my colleagues at the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), alongside other key stakeholders at this auspicious event held at Lagos House, Marina.

The fund is a significant step towards expanding opportunities for young people across Lagos State, ensuring that access to quality education is not limited by circumstance. It reinforces the commitment of the administration of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to strengthening education as a vital pillar of the state’s development agenda.

Indeed, improving access to quality education remains a core component of Mr. Governor’s THEMES+ agenda, which continues to prioritize the future of our children and the overall progress of our society.

We were privileged to represent the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, at the Africa Missions Global Foundational Learning Intervention Pilot Phase closing ceremony. I attended alongside my colleague from Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Hon. Sijuade Idowu‑Tiamiyu, at Ifako Nursery and Primary School.

The laudable programme reiterated the importance of strengthening foundational learning for our pupils. The closing ceremony showcased the impact of the project through engaging activities such as a Spelling Bee, teachers’ competitions, and vibrant cultural presentations by the students.

The event concluded with the presentation of prizes to winners of the various competitions and a photo session with the organizers, teachers, pupils, and invited guests.

Today, we had the privilege of visiting the Honorable Minister for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande.

Since 2022, when I stood as one of the youngest National Delegates to elect President Bola Tinubu as our candidate, my resolve has only grown stronger.

We are united in our vision, and I assured him that the youth brigade is ready to work in tandem with the Ministry to ensure the successful re-election of the President Bola Tinubu come 2027.
The future is bright, and we are just getting started.

Let’s get to work!

Saturday, 14th February, 2026

Today, I had the honour and privilege of delivering a speech at the wedding ceremony of Odunayo Ajewole and Adetutu Adewale, where I also served as the Chairman of the Occasion.

I began by congratulating the couple and expressing my sincere joy on witnessing their beautiful union. Having known them as friends for over five years, it was indeed a moment of pride and fulfillment to stand with them on such a significant day. Odunayo, fondly called Mr. Naija, is a bonafide Mushin boy and undoubtedly one of the brightest individuals I am proud to see emerge from our community. His journey has been inspiring, and today marks the beginning of an even greater chapter.

In my address, I advised the couple to identify their unique lane and run their race with focus and purpose. Marriage thrives when partners build and pursue collective goals rather than individual ambitions in isolation. Drawing from my personal experiences, I emphasized the importance of harmony in a relationship, the power of understanding, patience, and mutual respect.

I also encouraged them to avoid distractions and resist the temptation to compare their journey with others. Every home is unique, and comparison often breeds unnecessary pressure. Instead, they must prioritize cooperation over competition, regardless of who appears to be doing better at any given time. Marriage is a partnership, not a rivalry.

I extended my congratulations to both families and prayed that their union be blessed with peace, growth, and a beautiful home filled with love and lasting happiness.
