The British Firefighter Challenge is a fitness competition for operational and retired Firefighters around the World. Created in 2016 Firefighters have travelled from across the UK, Europe, even Kuwait, India, USA, Canada and Australia to challenge for the honours of being crowned the British Firefighter Challenge champion! There has been a huge amount of awareness surrounding the benefits of exer
cise on our Firefighters health over recent years. There has also been a big push to train specifically for the role of our jobs. The British Firefighter Challenge demonstrates the rigours of dealing with incidents whilst also breaking down stereotypes, creating a platform for many male and female Firefighters from all backgrounds to celebrate their differences and come together with amazing camaraderie. Covid-19 put a stop to Firefighter Challlenges in 2020 but we were back in 2021 at the heart of the UK Fire Service’s at the Fire Service College in Moreton in Marsh, followed by our biggest event to date taking place in Hull 2022! The British Firefighter Challenge has grown both in size and enthusiasm, we are now running a two-day event to accommodate the 250 Firefighters wishing to compete. We cannot wait to invite you to Manchester 2023…
