في إطار جهود القنصلية العامة لجمهورية العراق في مانشستر لتعزيز التواصل بين الجالية العراقية والحكومة المحلية في المدينة، وبمبادرة من القنصل العام الدكتور وائل الربيعي وبالتنسيق مع مؤسسة دار الهادي، شارك عدد من أعضاء المجلس البلدي لمدينة مانشستر في احتفال المولد النبوي الشريف باللغة الإنكليزية الذي نظمته المؤسسة، للالتقاء بأبناء الجالية العراقية.

وتهدف هذه المبادرة إلى مد جسور التواصل المباشر بين المسؤولين المحليين وأبناء الجالية والاستماع إلى احتياجاتهم.

وتضمنت الفعالية محاضرة للسيد علي الخلخالي، إلى جانب كلمات للقنصل العام وأعضاء المجلس البلدي، جرى خلالها تبادل وجهات النظر ومناقشة القضايا المتعلقة بشؤون الجالية اليومية.

كما تخلل اللقاء تعارف وتبادل لمعلومات التواصل بين الجانبين، وعرض أبناء الجالية لأبرز التحديات التي تواجههم. واتفق الحاضرون على تنظيم لقاء تفصيلي لاحق للتعريف بدور الحكومة المحلية وآليات دعم الجالية ومتابعة المواضيع ذات الصلة.

As part of the efforts of the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Manchester to enhance communication between the Iraqi community and local government in the city, and upon the initiative of Consul General Dr. Wael Alrobaaie and in coordination with Al-Hadi Institute, a number of Manchester City Council members participated in the Mawlid Al-Nabi celebration in English organized by the Institute, to meet with members of the Iraqi community.

This initiative aims to build direct bridges of communication between local officials and community members, and to listen to their needs.

The event included a lecture by Mr. Ali Al-Khalkhali, along with remarks by the Consul General and Council members. Discussions focused on exchanging views and addressing issues related to the daily affairs of the community.

The meeting also included introductions and the exchange of contact information between both sides, during which community members highlighted the main challenges they face. Attendees agreed to organize a follow-up detailed meeting to introduce the role of the local government and the mechanisms for supporting the community, and to follow up on relevant matters.

استقبل القنصل العام الدكتور وائل الربيعي السيدة إيما هولت، الرئيس التنفيذي لغرفة تجارة مانشستر الكبرى، والسيد لويس كرو، رئيس الشؤون التجارية ورئيس خدمات التجارة الدولية في الغرفة.

وتناول اللقاء بحث سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين العراق والمملكة المتحدة في المجالات التجارية والاقتصادية، وتشجيع الاستثمارات المشتركة بين رجال الأعمال من الجانبين.

وأكد الجانبان أهمية إقامة ورش عمل متخصصة للتعريف بالفرص الاستثمارية في العراق، وبحث إمكانية إقامة ملتقى اقتصادي واستثماري مشترك يعزز فرص التعاون مع مدينة مانشستر ومناطق شمال المملكة المتحدة، فضلاً عن تعزيز التعاون مع الجهات الحكومية وغرف التجارة في العراق.

واتفق الطرفان على وضع آلية عمل مشتركة لمتابعة تنفيذ مخرجات اللقاء بما يخدم المصالح الاقتصادية المشتركة.

Consul General Dr. Wael Alrobaaie Receives Ms Emma Holt, Chief Executive of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, and Mr Lewis Crowe, Head of Commercial and Head of International Trade Services at the Chamber.

The meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom in the trade and economic sectors, and to promote joint investment between the business communities of both countries.

Both sides underscored the importance of organising specialised workshops to introduce investment opportunities in Iraq and discussed the possibility of holding a joint economic and investment forum to enhance cooperation with the city of Manchester and regions across the north of the United Kingdom. They also discussed strengthening cooperation with government institutions and chambers of commerce in Iraq.

The two sides agreed to establish a joint mechanism to follow up on the implementation of the outcomes of the meeting in a manner that serves mutual economic interests.

The meeting was attended by Counsellor Dr Rafed Al-Rikabi and First Secretary Mr Qasim Alrubaye.

القنصل العام د. وائل الربيعي يزور المتحف الوطني لكرة القدم في مانشستر

زار القنصل العام د. وائل الربيعي المتحف الوطني لكرة القدم في وسط مدينة مانشستر، والذي يُعد المتحف الرسمي لهذه الرياضة في إنجلترا ويعنى بحفظ وصيانة وعرض مجموعات هامة من المقتنيات التذكارية المتعلقة بتاريخ كرة القدم.

وكان في استقباله مديرة المتحف التي رحبت بهذه الزيارة، وأكدت استعداد المتحف للتعاون والتنسيق مع الجهات المختصة في العراق في المجال الرياضي والثقافي.

وأشاد القنصل العام بفكرة إنشاء المتحف، لما تعكسه من عمق تاريخي لكرة القدم الإنجليزية، ولدورها في ربط الماضي بالحاضر وتشجيع الشباب على المزيد من العطاء ضمن الإطار الرياضي.

وأعرب عن أمله في الاستفادة من هذه التجربة الرائدة والعمل على إنشاء مشروع مماثل في العراق، مؤكداً عزمه مفاتحة الجهات المختصة في هذا المجال.

وتضمنت الزيارة جولة في أروقة المتحف والاطلاع على أبرز المعروضات، فضلاً عن تبادل الهدايا التذكارية بين الجانبين.

Consul General Dr. Wael Alrobaaie Visits the National Football Museum in Manchester

Consul General Dr. Wael Alrobaaie visited the National Football Museum in the city center of Manchester, the official national museum for the sport in England, which is dedicated to preserving, maintaining, and exhibiting significant collections of football memorabilia.

The Museum Director welcomed the visit and affirmed the museum’s readiness to cooperate and coordinate with the relevant authorities in Iraq in the sporting and cultural fields.

The Consul General commended the idea of establishing the museum, noting its reflection of the deep historical roots of English football, and its role in connecting the past with the present and encouraging youth to give more within the sporting framework.

He expressed his hope to benefit from this pioneering experience and to work towards establishing a similar project in Iraq, affirming his intention to approach the relevant authorities in this regard.

The visit included a tour of the museum’s galleries and a review of its most prominent exhibits, as well as the exchange of commemorative gifts between both sides.

القنصل العام د. وائل الربيعي يلتقي ممثل المرجعية العليا في أوروبا في احتفال المولد النبوي الشريف في مدينة مانشستر

التقى القنصل العام د. وائل الربيعي خلال حضوره المنهاج الدوري لمؤسسة دار الهادي في مانشستر واحتفال المولد النبوي الشريف بالعلامة السيد مرتضى الكشميري ممثل المرجعية العليا في أوروبا ونخبة من أبناء الجالية العراقية والعربية الكرام.

تم الترحيب بزيارة ممثل المرجعية إلى مدينة مانشستر، والتطرق إلى ضرورة تعزيز ثقافة الانتماء للهوية الإسلامية، وغرس روح المواطنة والانتماء لبلداننا العربية والإسلامية في الخارج، مع احترام قوانين دول المهجر ضمن الإطار الديني والثوابت العامة، وبما يعكس الصورة المشرقة لديننا الحنيف وهويتنا الأصلية.

أكد القنصل العام التزام القنصلية العامة بتأدية واجبها في خدمة أبناء الجالية وتمثيل العراق بأحسن وجه، ودورها في بناء جسور التواصل مع مختلف أطياف الجالية الكريمة وحضور الفعاليات والمناسبات.

كما أشاد بالدور الفاعل لمؤسسة دار الهادي في مبادراتها وأنشطتها التي تساهم في توثيق روابط أبناء الجالية ونشر الوعي الديني وتعزيز السلم المجتمعي.

وتضمن المنهاج الديني محاضرة للعلامة السيد الكشميري إلى جانب كلمات وقصائد ألقيت بهذه المناسبة المباركة، كما تم تكريم العلامة السيد الكشميري والقنصل العام بدروع تقديرية من قبل مؤسسة دار الهادي .

Consul General Meets Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority in Europe during Prophet’s Birthday Celebration in Manchester

During his attendance at the periodic activities program of Dar Al-Hadi Foundation in Manchester and the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Celebration, Consul General Dr. Wael Alrobaaie met with His Eminence Sayyid Murtadha Al-Kashmiri, Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority in Europe, and a distinguished gathering of members of the Iraqi community.

The visit of the Representative of the Religious Authority to the city of Manchester was welcomed. The discussions addressed the importance of promoting a culture of belonging to Islamic identity, instilling the spirit of citizenship and attachment to our Arab and Islamic countries abroad, while respecting the laws of the host countries within a religious framework and public constants, thus reflecting the honorable image of our noble religion and our authentic identity.

The Consul General affirmed the Consulate General’s commitment to fulfilling its duty to serve the community and represent Iraq in the best manner, and its role in building bridges of communication with all segments of our esteemed community and attending various events and occasions.

He also commended the active role of Dar Al-Hadi Foundation in its initiatives and activities that contribute to strengthening ties among community members, spreading religious awareness, and promoting social peace.

The religious program included a lecture by His Eminence Sayyid Al-Kashmiri, along with speeches and poems delivered on this blessed occasion.

Sayyid Al-Kashmiri and the Consuls General were also honored with a certificate of appreciation from the Dar Al-Hadi Foundation.

القنصلية العامة في مانشستر تنظم أمسية ثقافية لأبناء الجالية العراقية

نظمت القنصلية العامة لجمهورية العراق في مانشستر أمسية ثقافية بحضور نخبة من أبناء الجالية العراقية الكريمة من مانشستر ومدينتي ليفربول وبرمنغهام.

وتضمنت الأمسية محاضرة ألقاها الأستاذ سامي الفارس - رئيس جمعية المدارس العربية التكميلية في المملكة المتحدة تحت عنوان (( ابناؤنا بين لغتين وثقافتين ))، ركز فيها على أهمية غرس مفاهيم اللغة العربية وتكثيف قنوات التعليم لأبناء الجالية في المهجر من خلال المدارس التكميلية.
كما استعرض التحديات التي تواجه المدارس العربية في المملكة المتحدة، وطرح مقترحات لتطوير المناهج وإدامة التواصل مع الجهات الحكومية بما يسهم في دعم قطاع التعليم، مؤكداً على الدور المحوري للأسرة والمجتمع في هذا الإطار.

وشهدت الأمسية فقرات من الشعر الشعبي والفصيح عن العراق والمهجر وتعزيز روح الانتماء الوطني، ألقتها الشاعرة الأستاذة ساجدة الفيلي "أم سالار" ونالت تفاعل الحضور.

وأكد القنصل العام د. وائل الربيعي في كلمة له على أهمية دعم جهود إدارات المدارس العربية في المهجر لدورها الكبير في تعزيز روابط الانتماء للثقافة العربية والإسلامية وإدامة الصلة بالوطن.
وأشاد بالدور الإيجابي للمدارس العربية والمراكز الدينية، مبيناً استعداد القنصلية العامة في مانشستر لتوفير الدعم اللازم ونقل المقترحات إلى الجهات المختصة، ومجدداً الحرص على إقامة مثل هذه الفعاليات التي تعالج القضايا المطروحة عبر النقاش وتبادل وجهات النظر.

وفي ختام الأمسية، أعرب المشاركون عن تقديرهم العميق لجهود القنصلية العامة ودورها الفاعل في إدامة التواصل مع الجالية العراقية.

Consulate General in Manchester Holds Cultural Evening for Iraqi Community

The Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Manchester organized a *cultural evening* attended by distinguished members of the Iraqi community from Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.

The evening featured a lecture delivered by Mr. Sami Al-Faris, Chairman of the Association of Supplementary Arabic Schools inK, titled ((Our Children Between Two Languages ​​and Two Cultures)), who emphasized the importance of instilling Arabic language values and expanding educational channels for the community’s children in the diaspora through supplementary schools.
He also reviewed the challenges facing Arabic schools in the UK and presented proposals to develop curricula and maintain communication with government bodies to support the education sector, stressing the vital role of the family and community.

The program included recitations of popular and classical Arabic poetry on Iraq, diaspora and national belonging by Poet Ms. Sajida Al-Fayli "Umm Salar", which received great appreciation from the audience.

In his address, Consul General Dr. Wael Al-robaaie underscored the importance of supporting the efforts of Arabic school administrations abroad for their significant role in strengthening ties to Arab and Islamic culture and maintaining connection with the homeland.
He commended the positive role of Arabic schools and religious centers, and affirmed the Consulate General’s readiness to provide necessary support and convey proposals to relevant authorities. He reiterated the commitment to holding such gatherings that address community issues through dialogue.

Participants expressed their deep appreciation for the Consulate General’s efforts and its active role in sustaining communication with the Iraqi community.

القنصل العام د. وائل الربيعي يستقبل وفد جامعة التراث العراقية في مقر القنصلية بمانشستر

استقبل القنصل العام د. وائل الربيعي في مقر القنصلية العامة وفد جامعة التراث العراقية برئاسة الأستاذ علي العكيلي رئيس مجلس الأمناء وبحضور د. موفق ساجت سمير مدير قسم المنظمات الدولية والعربية في وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي.
أكد القنصل العام خلال اللقاء على دعم القنصلية العامة للجامعات العراقية في انفتاحها على الجامعات البريطانية الرصينة، والاستفادة من الخبرات العلمية والأكاديمية المتقدمة في المملكة المتحدة بما يخدم تطوير التعليم العالي في العراق.

وقدم رئيس الوفد ايجازاً عن نشاطات الجامعة وزياراتها للجامعات البريطانية، معرباً عن شكره وتقديره لجهود القنصلية في دعم مساعي التعاون العلمي. كما قدم هدية تقديرية للقنصلية العامة.

وتم الاتفاق في ختام اللقاء على إدامة التنسيق المشترك لتفعيل التعاون الثنائي مع الجامعات البريطانية وخدمة الطلبة العراقيين وتحقيق الاستفادة المشتركة.

Consul General Dr. Wael Al-Robaaie Receives Delegation from Al-Turath Iraqi University at the Consulate in Manchester*

Consul General Dr. Wael Al-Robaaie received a delegation from Al-Turath Iraqi University headed by Mr. Ali Al-Ukaili, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and in the presence of Dr. Mowafaq Sajit Sameer, Director of the Department of International and Arab Organizations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research*.

During the meeting, the Consul General affirmed the Consulate General's support for Iraqi universities in their outreach to reputable British universities, and in benefiting from advanced scientific and academic expertise in the United Kingdom to serve the development of higher education in Iraq.

The head of the delegation gave a briefing on the university's activities and its visits to British universities, expressing his thanks and appreciation for the Consulate's efforts in supporting scientific cooperation. He also presented a commemorative gift to the Consulate General.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain joint coordination to activate the cooperation with British universities, to serve Iraqi students, and to achieve mutual benefit.

The meeting was attended by Counselor Dr. Rafid Al-Rikabi, who is in charge of the cultural file at the Consulate General.
