🗣️ “Following on from His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services report earlier this year, we can now say with confidence and pride that we have one of the best fire and rescue services in the country.”

The second of four yearly plans supporting Greater Manchester’s Fire Plan has been announced after a year in which we received a very positive inspection report.

These plans aim to help with our wider Greater Manchester Strategy to create a thriving city region where everyone can live a good life.

📢 Our Annual Delivery Plan 2026-27 is now live!

This is our second year of delivering the ambitions set out in the Fire Plan (2025–29) as we build on the momentum from the last 12 months.

The 2026-27 plan will look to impact how our firefighters train, how we deploy resources, how we support health and wellbeing and the investment in our stations and equipment.

Greater Manchester Police have assured us that they will be stepping up patrols, and together with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service they will continue working with Jewish communities here to provide security and reassurance.

Antisemitism has absolutely no place in Greater Manchester, and we will never allow acts of hatred to divide us.
