We’re pleased to report our Welfare Benefits Team is continuing to make a real difference for carers. In the last quarter, our two Welfare Benefits Advisors supported 209 carers via phone calls, workshops and community drop-ins – helping carers access support in ways that work for them.

On average, each carer advised gained an additional £33 in weekly income. Collectively, our Advisors helped carers gain £6,090 in expected weekly income gains – a new record for our service.

If you're a carer in Manchester and would like a welfare benefits check, or advice around cost-of-living, please get in touch with our Welfare Benefits Team via The Contact Point:

with Together Dementia Support

"Dementia Action Week is a national campaign to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and improve understanding of what it means to live with dementia. At Together Dementia Support, we see every day what people living with dementia are capable of when they have the right support. This year, our focus is simple: celebrating what people living with dementia can do.

Throughout the week, we’ll host a series of events that bring people together, showcase our members’ skills and creativity, and highlight the importance of accessible, community-based support."
