The A57 Snake Pass will be fully closed 24/7 from Monday 15 June until Friday 3 July between Glossop and Fairholmes/Bamford Reservoir for major investigation works at the Doctorโs Gate landslip site.
Highways Engineers need to carry out detailed ground investigations to help develop a long-term repair solution, with ongoing movement continuing to affect the retaining wall and road surface.
While the road is closed, Derbyshire County Council will also carry out additional works including pothole repairs, drain clearing, sign repairs, hedge cutting and litter picking.
A signed diversion route will be in place via Bamford, Hathersage, Baslow, Buxton and back to Glossop.
Please allow extra travel time and plan ahead during the closure period.
