𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 ⚠️

The A57 Snake Pass will be fully closed 24/7 from Monday 15 June until Friday 3 July between Glossop and Fairholmes/Bamford Reservoir for major investigation works at the Doctor’s Gate landslip site.

Highways Engineers need to carry out detailed ground investigations to help develop a long-term repair solution, with ongoing movement continuing to affect the retaining wall and road surface.

While the road is closed, Derbyshire County Council will also carry out additional works including pothole repairs, drain clearing, sign repairs, hedge cutting and litter picking.

A signed diversion route will be in place via Bamford, Hathersage, Baslow, Buxton and back to Glossop.

Please allow extra travel time and plan ahead during the closure period.

Sadly, Francesca Coates wasn't elected to serve the community of Longdendale alongside me.

The campaign was tough, toxic at times and exhausting but Fran continued with a smile and good grace. I wish her well for the future.

I commit to continue to serve the people of Longdendale.

As we head into Polling Day tomorrow, I want to thank everyone for their brilliant conversations and great case work you've give to Councillor Jacqueline Owen, Longdendale's Labour Councillor and I.
If I've been lucky enough to speak to you, then what you've seen is what you get. I don't play political games, I work with people not against them and I work hard.
I'm a mum, a professional in business and have worked since I was 14 years old when I was a waitress at Castle Hall in Stalybridge (remember that place).
I want to help tackle antisocial behaviour, support the allocation of the Pride in place money in Hattersley; these two issues can be linked.
I want to ensure the building of the link road is as easy for residents as it can be, and that it's not the only road infrastructure to ease congestion and that Hollingworth finally get the help they need.
I want to ensure the Community asset transfer in Hollingworth is a success, that all the wonderful event on the green take place.
I want to support local businesses new and old.
I want to tackle the problem parking in Broadbottom, and I've already reported the blocked grids but I'll make sure it's done.
I want to ensure Mottram and Broadbottom community centres are thriving community hubs.
I love Longdendale and I want to be part of its next chapter.
If these are the sorts of reasons you want to someone to become your local Councillor then my commitment to you is I will be visible and I will work hard.

The conversations are great and it's great to hear local issues we can help with. Councillor Jacqueline Owen, Longdendale's Labour Councillor and Francesca are not about gimmicks

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

There is a lot of information going around about the Mottram Wood pub and Carvery. I am the general manager. We are not part of premier Inn that is Whitbread. We are Greene king. We have no closure date and are open for business as usual I have just hired all new staff. There are a lot of changes within Greene king at the moment and any major changes like closure or sale would be publicly announced. This is not the case at the moment in time.
