Join us for the penultimate (and the final one run by our chairman Ethan) instalment of Port & Policy — an evening of sharp debate, good company, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

Manchester Young Conservatives End of Year Dinner

The Manchester Young Conservatives warmly invite you to our End of Year Dinner, an evening of reflection, celebration, and transition as we mark the close of the academic year.

This flagship event in our calendar brings together members, alumni, and guests for a black-tie evening featuring a three-course meal, keynote speeches, and the presentation of our annual society awards. It is also a significant moment for the society as we formally retire the current committee and welcome the new leadership team.

We are delighted to be joined by two distinguished guest speakers:
• Robert Largan – Former Member of Parliament for High Peak (2019–2024), former Assistant Government Whip, and past Chairman of the Manchester Young Conservatives
• Dr. Daniel Pitt – Leading columnist, author, and academic specialising in the Conservative Party and British politics.

Event Details
• Date & Time: Doors open at 17:30, proceedings continue until late
• Location: St. James Private Members Club
• Dress Code: Black Tie
• Price: £55.00 (includes welcome drink and three-course meal)
• Attendance: Open to all

Starter
• Smoked salmon and prawn parcels with celeriac remoulade
• Grilled asparagus with rocket and parmesan salad (V)

Main Course
• Oven roasted chicken breast, fondant potato, roasted vegetables, creamy mushroom sauce
• Goats cheese and roasted vegetable wellington with red pepper coulis (V)

Dessert
• Sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream

This promises to be an elegant and memorable evening, offering the opportunity to network, celebrate achievements, and hear insights from leading figures in the Conservative movement.

• Hear the committee’s yearly reports
• Review and vote on the society constitution
• Elect the 2026–2027 committee
