Her commitment to excellence and continuous improvement helps ensure the best outcomes for children, families, and the fostering community.

𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗜𝗦 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚🪴

We're delighted to share that HOME Fostering, in partnership with the GM RCC, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, has been successful in our bid for the Department for Education Fostering Innovation Programme🎉

It means that we are able to expand our team and scale up our service in a more timely way which is very exciting!

Applications are now open for the following roles:

- Full time Fostering Social Worker
- Full time Fostering and Business Support Worker
- Part time (3 days a week) Engagement and Support Worker

We are also recruiting more Independent Social Workers to undertake assessments across Greater Manchester.

At HOME Fostering, a large part of our vision is to enable more brothers and sisters to grow up together.

As our model supports 'would be' carers to move into larger properties that enable them to foster, those larger properties will also create family homes with more space for siblings.

What they do:
🏡 Provide practical & financial support to help incredible people move into a bigger home to enable the start of their fostering journey across Greater Manchester.
🎓 Offer a wide range of training to give the skills & understanding you’ll need to look after children needing foster families.
🚗 Help with practical things like transport when needed, a dedicated supervising social worker & 24/7 telephone support from the team.
💛 Look for foster carers who can offer time, patience & understanding.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘?
"Growing up in care could have defined my life, but because of the love, support, and belief my foster family showed me, it became a foundation for opportunity, growth and hope. They didn’t just give me somewhere to live - they truly cared for and loved me. That experience has shaped who I am, and I will always be grateful. The impact of stability, encouragement, and having someone believe in you can last a lifetime.

HOME Fostering has a bold mission to do things differently - removing one of the biggest barriers to becoming a foster carer: access to suitable homes with enough space. We support incredible people to move into larger homes to begin their fostering journey.

HOME’s innovative model, designed to help siblings stay together, really resonated with me. Amazing people are turned away because they don’t have enough space in their homes and whilst I am lucky to have amazing foster siblings who I love dearly, I didn’t feel connected to my birth siblings until adulthood. Nurturing all sibling relationships and maintaining those bonds is so important.

Children from trauma don’t need perfect parents. They need safe and consistent ones. The kind that show up even on the hard days."

Pride is all about freedom, the freedom to be honest about who you are and who you love. That’s something we hope all foster carers and every care experienced young person feels too.
