The Social Action Hub Independent Charity number 1097054 Our current projects

1. Weekly Youth Provision for 5-25 year olds. We encourage creativity, team work and communication.

Our aims:

To encourage and empower local people to achieve their full potential
To provide information advice and guidance on a range of subjects to meet the needs of our community
To deliver a programme of social action, community provision and activities to tackle the effects of poverty, lack of opportunities and social/economic barriers faced by local residents, children, young people and the

ir families. Education & Skills - a range of employability programmes and activities aimed at increasing skills and access to other educational or career opportunities

2. We work on topics such as citizenship, bullying, antisocial behaviour, sexual health, drugs and alcohol misuse and environmental issues.

3. We run a detached team of workers that engage with young people in parks and on the streets, with the aim of providing information advice and guidance and referrals to positive opportunities

4. We provide a play scheme during each of the school holidays for children aged 5 - 12 that includes.

5. Social Action - we support & facilitate projects and activities on behalf of local people and young people; such as trips, heritage projects and environmental projects.

6. We offer a range of work experience and volunteering programmes, including Apprenticeships to further individuals skills and careers in youth and community work.

7. We run a Food Hub, known as Team Foodshare. The food hub operates a number of projects and services, including a food club called The Social Supermarket (TM), emergency food parcels, Social Eating events and a Youth Community Fridge

Get ready for the ultimate family day out because we are hosting a massive Fundraiser Funday & Football Match in memory of Ezmay Usher at Rainworth MWFC

We’ve got a packed day of football, laughs, and entertainment lined up for a fantastic cause. Here is what’s on the cards:

The Lineup

Morning: 🏆 Kids Tournaments Kickstarting the day with some incredible young talent. (Stay tuned! Further details and timings regarding the kids' tournaments will be announced soon!)

1:00 PM: ⚽️ Rainworth Welfare Veterans vs. Sherwood FC Watch the legends roll back the years for a brilliant opening match.

2:30 PM: 👗 THE MAIN EVENT: Ezmay’s 11 vs. Ali’s 11 This is the one you really don't want to miss. To add to the fun, Ali’s 11 will be playing the entire match wearing dresses and crocs with socks! Yes, you read that right. Expect absolute chaos and plenty of laughs!

🪩 After Party at The Welly Rainworth

The fun doesn’t stop when the final whistle blows. Once the football is wrapped up, we are heading back to The Welly for a disco to dance the night away and celebrate!

Bring the kids, bring your friends, and bring your loudest cheering voices. Let’s come together as a community, have a brilliant day, and raise as much money as possible!

Its June! We are excited to welcome NAFAS - Bringing People and Flowers Together National Demonstrator Jo Purdy Floral Designer to Ravenshead Flower Club .
Sit back, relax and let Jo whisk us away with her title: “Mama Mia –
Tales from a Greek Island”. £8 cash for visitors, all welcome.

The floral art designs made on the stage by Jo will be raffled at the end of the evening with all proceeds being donated to the The Social Action Hub our chosen charity for 2026.
The Sizza Sisters pop up shop will be joining us.
