It's a monumental moment... the start of Maze Measure Monday for 2026!! 🎉 All this beautiful weather with odd bits of rain before has ment the maize plants have shot up already, standing at 12cm!

The local ladybirds have also made themsevles at home on the maize 🐞😍

Maize seed has now been drilled into the ground ✅ Now we have to sit back with our fingers crossed it all grows! 🤞

Diglett decided to show his face again, just after we finished to make our perfect field not so perfect 🤦‍♂️🤣

This will be a seasonal contract running from June until the end of the year. Suitable for any up and coming TikToker/Influencer with video and editing ideas, plus a creative mind!

There's another foraging session coming up! Here's a few things he's found foraging at Skylark and you can find too 🔥...

Mullein or Verbascum. This is a very interesting plant with a lot of uses both medicinal and in bushcraft. The tea made from leaves and or flowers has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Scarlet or Ruby elf cup fungi. Edible but very small!

It's Maize Maze drill day!! 🎉🎉 The family here at Skylark have been hard at work with the resident Pokemon drilling the Maize Maze seed, that sounds scary but it actually means just planting the seed deep into the ground ☺️

They uncovered a NEW Pokemon while drilling, it's Diglett 🔥
