I had the best morning taking my two little dogs, Frankie (my Chihuahua) and Dottie (my Pomeranian), for a swim at the doggie pool in Thurlby. 🐶💙
I even got in the pool myself! I won’t lie… it’s fairly cool, but once you’re swimming it’s absolutely lovely. What an amazing facility to have right here on our doorstep for our dogs.
These sessions are all about fun and building confidence. They are not hydrotherapy sessions, and if your dog requires hydrotherapy there is a fantastic local hydrotherapy pool in Bourne available.
A few things I thought were really good:�🐾 The pool is kept at around 15°C, which is the ideal temperature for dogs and helps reduce the need for chemicals.�🐾 The water is filtered using a sand filtration system – there is no chlorine.�🐾 Just 1 minute of swimming is equivalent to around 4 minutes of fast running, making it brilliant exercise.�🐾 Long-line leads and life jackets (all sizes) are available.�🐾 If your dog needs a little extra confidence, you can request a member of staff to join them in the pool at no extra cost.
Sessions are 30 minutes long and cost:�🐶 £25 for one dog�🐶🐶 £30 for two dogs�🐶🐶🐶 £34 for three dogs
