Robin Hood talk by Carl Holdcraft

Few historical characters are as enigmatic, as elusive, or as popular as Robin Hood. For centuries, the question of whether he was a flesh-and-blood outlaw or a beautifully constructed myth whispered around a medieval cottage fire has captivated historians. While popular culture ties him firmly to Nottinghamshire, compelling evidence and an incredible local twist tie this iconic figure directly to the ancient woodlands of north-west Staffordshire.

This is a study of the likelihood of the truth behind the legend and a bizarre and intriguing local connection.
