Thank you everyone thats gives up their time and helps keep Market Rasen a welcoming place to live, work and visit.

The Town Council has received a number of enquiries about w**ds around Market Rasen, so we’d like to share with you the following:

🌿 W**d Spraying update 🌿 from Lincolnshire County Council, who are responsible for the highway w**d spraying programme.

The first round of w**d spraying was scheduled for the week commencing 29 June, with a second treatment planned later in the growing season, subject to weather conditions and operational requirements.

The programme targets w**ds growing along kerb lines, footways and against hard surfaces, such as walls at the back edge of pavements. It does not include w**ds growing in grass verges or against private fences and hedges.

If you’re wondering why some w**ds are still visible, please be aware that it can take 21–28 days for the herbicide to take full effect. The speed at which results become visible will depend on the weather and the type of vegetation being treated.

Lincolnshire County Council has also confirmed that dead w**ds are not removed following treatment. Street cleansing, including the removal of dead w**ds, is the responsibility of West Lindsey District Council.

🎨 Graffiti workshops, facepainting, interactive mural and more.

This is a FREE event, we look forward to welcoming and seeing you there.

📍 You may need some pennies if you wish to sample a Pandwich 🍕 or a tub of Blyton ice-cream kindly supplied by Garnetts Confectionery

Big shout out to Rase Steels for their kind donation of the heras fencing for the Graffiti Wall 😊

The plants have arrived so it's full steam ahead in the market place with the planting of the planters. Great timing with GO Festival on Friday and the Lions Gardeners Market on Saturday 😊 Thanks go to Tower Nurseries for the delivery of the planter plants and Sturton Plants & More for the the beautiful hanging baskets 🤩

📣GO Festival is coming to Market Rasen📣

📍 FREE Family Fun!

Expect live performances and street theatre, Graffiti Workshop, Facepainting, creative workshops and plenty to keep all ages entertained. From headline acts to hands-on activities.

Market Rasen Town Band will also be making an appearance 🎺

Refreshments, food and ice-cream will be available to purchase 🍕🍦☕️
