🎉Grassroots Community Grants – Applications Now Open 🎉

Warsop Parish Council is excited to announce that as part of the East Midlands Combined County Authority Community Development Funding, £9,000 a year, for three years is going into small grants for local community groups.

Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward has chosen Market Warsop ward as one of her 10 priority areas in the East Midlands. These grants are called Grassroots Community Grants. They’re for groups, clubs, and organisations who have an idea to help…

👭Bring people together
💚Make life better for people living here
🌼Improve the area

The funding must be shown to benefit people in the Market Warsop ward, however groups and clubs based in other wards can apply if they can evidence the ward benefit.

There are two rounds proposed each year, and £4,500 to give out in each round. The first round opens this month, offering maximum awards of £1,500.

Please see this link for more information on how to apply:

✨️What a Night – Thank You, Warsop!✨️

We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our event, held in partnership with The Black Market Venue on Sunday 23rd August, such a fantastic evening.

We were treated to a brilliant line-up of live music from Just Fran, Mark King, Rob Stringer, What’s Left ft Laura Wilcockson, Chris Harwood and, of course, Taylor Swift by Rachel, who brought the evening to a fantastic finale!

There are so many people who deserve a mention for helping make the event happen. A massive thank you to Siobhan and the team at The Black Market, all of our amazing performers, Chris Guy, who managed everything on stage and kept the crowd entertained, Bob our sound engineer, and Rob our photographer, who captured some fantastic moments from the night. You can check out his photos* here: https://ukmediashots.pixieset.com/

Thanks also to The Smoking Dough Pizza Co. for keeping everyone well fed, all the Warsop Parish Council staff and Councillors who worked behind the scenes to plan the event and helped ensure everything ran smoothly on the night and to everyone who supported in promoting the event and selling tickets.

And finally, the biggest thank you of all goes to every single person who came along, danced, sang, enjoyed the music and showed their support. Events like this are only possible because people in Warsop get behind them, and you certainly did!

Thanks to you, we raised over £650 for Warsop Carnival!

From all of us at Warsop Parish Council – thank you, Warsop!
