The Parish Council has been informed that some children who swam in the River Kennet at Ramsbury and Axford have been ill with one hospitalised. Please DO NOT swim in the river near Ramsbury and Axford. We have contacted ARK who advise that children who go in the river in wellies to "dip" or fish should always wash hands and face thoroughly before eating or drinking. There was a river school with Ramsbury Primary School on Monday and there have been no reports of illness. We have checked and there have been no sewage discharges into the river in the last 10 days You can check for sewage discharges on Thames Water Event calendar EDM map/storm discharge data/river health/Thames Water
