Stoke sub Hamdon Sports and Recreation Trust on behalf of Stoke sub Hamdon Parish Council, have just completed maintenance work on the Adventure Playground.
All the wood on the climbing frame and slide have been sandblasted and treated, all graffiti on the slide tower has now been removed.
The giant disk has had a coating of wet pour granules, so will not peel easily off, but prevents children sliding off.
I think you will agree the Stoke sub Hamdon Sports and Recreation Trust has done an amazing job... supported financially by the Stoke Charity Shop again we thank you too.
The CCTV is now in action, hopefully preventing any future damage to this area.

Terry Whitehead of Stoke-Sub-Hamdon passed away peacefully at Yeovil District Hospital 19th August 2026 aged 92

Funeral service to be held:

We have been so lucky through out this incredibly dry period, to have water without restrictions until now.
