We have secured a Partial Closure Order for an address in Hurricane Way, Bowerhill, following the day of action on 27th March where two electric motorbikes were seized and three people were arrested for drug offences.

Magistrates in Salisbury granted the order this morning, following an application by the Melksham Neighbourhood Policing Team.

The closure order means nobody can attend the address unless specifically named on the order, for the next three months.

Officers will conduct regular visits to ensure the order is being adhered to.

The closure order comes following several reports of antisocial behaviour and the action taken on 27th March.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Charly Chilton said: “This closure order allows only the tenant to be at the address in order to prevent further offending and antisocial behaviour impacting the local community.

“We hope this will bring some peace of mind to the local residents who have been affected by recent incidents at the address and we won’t hesitate to act if the order is broken.”

👮‍♂️ Community Policing Update – Steeple Ashton 👮‍♂️

On Wednesday 22 April, Inspector Andy Lemon, Neighbourhood Policing Lead for Trowbridge, Melksham and Bradford on Avon, attended the Steeple Ashton Parish Council AGM.

Inspector Lemon provided parish councillors and residents with an important local policing update, covering:

- Neighbourhood policing priorities
- Current crime trends
- Rural crime issues affecting villages and farming communities

The session gave those present the opportunity to hear directly from senior local police leadership and reinforced the commitment to working closely with parish councils and residents to address concerns and keep communities safe.

We are appealing for information following a road rage incident in Melksham which left the victim shaken up.

At approximately 3.15pm on Monday March 23, a woman in her 20s was travelling alone in her vehicle northbound along the A350 approaching Melksham, when she was tailgated by the offending vehicle – a black Volvo XC40.

The driver was reported to be driving in an aggressive manner, until the victim stopped at a red light on the roundabout in Melksham at the junction with Bradford Road, before Asda. The driver of the offending vehicle undertook the victim and then pulled across in front of her, blocking her from moving. He then got out of his vehicle, approached the victim and shouted and swore at her in an aggressive manner, before punching her window.

We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

🚔 Welcome to Wiltshire’s newest Special Constabulary recruits! 🚔

On Saturday 28th March, we proudly welcomed 22 new Special Constables to Wiltshire Police (even though not all could be in the photo!).

✨ 17 brand‑new officers will soon begin their training over the coming weeks.
✨ 5 experienced officers have transferred to Wiltshire from Gloucestershire, bringing valuable knowledge and skills with them.

This is our largest intake in several years, and we couldn’t be more excited. After completing their initial training, which is delivered during evenings and weekends alongside their full‑time jobs, these dedicated volunteers will be out supporting our communities on response and neighbourhood teams.

A huge congratulations and warm welcome to all! 👏
