We had the most fun at Stories and Painting at Meriden Library yesterday, enjoying 'You Can't Take An Elephant On the Bus' by Patricia Cleveland-Peck and then getting creative with our elephant paintings. We also had some little ones in after school enjoying our activities and creating their own Bing nature scenes. Thank you Warwickshire Wildlife Trust 💚

As part of 30 Days Wild with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust we have a special display at the library created by our friends at Solihull Craftivism, a small community group that likes to use Craftivism to get a message across in a quiet way and make people smile. Their display is all about amazing hedgehogs. They need our help more than ever, and the display includes some top tips.

Don't forget, any children who borrow a book from our wildlife display get a free 30 Days Wild passport and sticker!

At nearby Balsall Common Library tomorrow morning, a free author event for National Year of Reading 🩷💜

On Saturday, we are hosting a free author event, as part of National Year of Reading. We are delighted that local, debut author Anna B*k will be at the library talking about her writing journey, the publishing process, as well as her book - 'It's Never Really Over' - about the lives of five women, partially set in Warwickshire.

This free event is on Saturday 6 June, from 11am to 12 noon, refreshments included, we hope to see you there! ☕

It's HiVis Fortnight and we are highlighting the services and support on offer here at Meriden Library for those with a vision impairment.

Browse our Large Print and Spoken Word collections in the library and online on our library catalogue or explore the accessibility features available via the BorrowBox app for eBooks, eAudiobooks, and ePress. Staff are always happy to help get this set up for you if needed.

It's June, and we are delighted to be jumping on board with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust for 30 Days Wild, a whole month of celebrating nature with you! 🦊🐾🌄🍂🐿️🪶

Pop into the library, and any children who borrow a wildlife book from our display will also get a brilliant 30 Days Wild Passport and a sticker. We also have some wall charts and special mindfulness colouring for grown-ups.
