Residents will note that work has begun on regeneration of the Hoover Factory and surrounding land.

In line with planning conditions, the developers will assess which elements of the building can be retained and incorporated into future designs. As local councillors, we are advocating for the new development to reflect the history and heritage of the site, ensuring its legacy is recognised.

Pentrebach Parking Update

Hello everyone
We are aware that there has been more disruption with parking today.
We have been working hard to find solutions to the problem and believe the ICC parking will help solve most of the issue, providing it is utilised.
There has also been bollards put out recently but we understand they havenโ€™t been used today.
We have contacted the club today to highlight this issue, and to discuss next steps.
We are hopeful this can be sorted before any enforcement action need to take place.
We will keep you updated

Parking Update and Action to Address Parking Concerns in Pentrebach

We would like to update residents on measures being introduced to help address parking issues associated with Red Lion FC matches and training sessions in Pentrebach.

From Saturday 12 September, players, coaches, volunteers and spectators attending Red Lion FC fixtures will be able to use the car park at the Integrated Children's Centre (ICC). This provision will also be available for evening training sessions and matches.

The ICC car park has capacity for 44 vehicles, and we have worked closely with the Council to ensure the football club has the appropriate agreement in place, including the necessary public liability insurance.

In addition, earlier this week we met on site with South Wales Police and Council officers to highlight residents' concerns regarding parking and obstruction in the area.

Following those discussions, it was agreed that the following measures would be considered:

โœ… Patrols increased during matchdays and training sessions.
โœ… Additional signage installed to remind drivers of the impact caused by inconsiderate and obstructive parking.
โœ… Enforcement action to be taken where necessary, including the issuing of fines.

We hope these measures will help ease parking pressures in the area, and we thank residents for your continued patience, understanding and feedback as we work together to address these concerns.
