Merthyr Tydfil Institute for the Blind Established in 1923, MTIB is a Charity and Not for Profit Organisation operating in South Wales, UK. We also focus on creating assembled frames.

We are looking to provide sustainable opportunities for work, and employ a number of blind and partially sighted people, as well as provide work experience placements for adults with learning difficulties. At MTIB we pay particular focus on CNC cutting (Computer Numerical Control), and card precision cutting and drilling. We provide frame building and Carcass manufacturing to the highest standard

(Class 1 quality). We can supply flat pack or assembled products in our development section. At MTIB we welcome any visits or viewings and pride ourselves on our standard of Customer Service. We supply many products ranging from benches, sheds and tables..

We are incredibly proud to be packing and distributing the new Welsh Government Baby Bundle Scheme, and we're delighted to share that we have already sent out over 1,000 baby bundles to expectant families across Wales. 🎉💙

This fantastic initiative provides families in Flying Start areas with essential items to help them prepare for the arrival of their new baby, easing some of the financial pressures many are facing during the current cost-of-living challenges.

What makes this scheme even more special is that many of the products included are sourced from Welsh suppliers. This means the programme is not only supporting families at a crucial time in their lives but is also helping to strengthen the Welsh economy, create jobs, and invest in communities across the country.

At MTIB, we are passionate about making a positive impact, and being trusted to deliver a project that supports families from the very beginning of their parenting journey is something we are truly honoured to be part of.

Here's to the next 1,000 bundles and the many families they will help support. 💙👶📦
