Our new pool hoist means Meg Pool can welcome swimmers of all abilities into the water - because everyone deserves the joy of a swim.

🌊 The final week of Season '26 at Meg Pool 🌞

That's come around quickly! Our last week of warm water swimming kicks off in style with the Splash Bash on Bank Holiday Monday, and runs right through to Sunday 6th September - when the boiler goes off for winter.

A few things worth knowing:
- It's your last chance for warm water Open Swims this year - we've got them on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Thursday morning brings our relaxed Senior Swim, a gentler session at a quieter time.
- And it's not goodbye for long - our cold water swims start the very next week (more on those soon).
- Plus all the usual favourites: Zumba, Junior Lifeguards, Aqua Challenge, Parent & Child and Swimming Lessons.

🌊 FAQ Friday is here!

Each week we answer the questions you ask us most - and with the nights drawing in, these two are coming up a lot…

❓ "When does the season finish?"

Our warm water season ends on Sunday 6th September, when the boiler goes off for the winter.

❓ "Are the cold water swims on?"

Yes! Before we winterise the pool, we're running a short cold water season from 7th to 30th September. A few things to know:
- Adult swims only, with adult swim rules applying throughout.
- Cold water swimming is a very different experience to warm water - it's exhilarating, but it does need respect. Please enter the water gradually, know your limits, and never swim alone. We'd recommend having at least one experienced cold water swimmer in your group.
- There'll be no Open Swims or private bookings from 7th September until we reopen for the 2027 summer season.

Thinking of trying it for the first time? This is a lovely time to start. Once the boiler's off, the water cools down gradually and the air stays fairly mild to begin with - ideal conditions to ease into cold water swimming and see what all the fuss is about.
