Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of planting, litter picking, learning, sharing and celebrating the positive changes we can make together.

Your time, energy, skills and passion helped make the day a huge success and we're so grateful to everyone who came along.

It's been another very busy week here at Middlesbrough Environment City - with lots of great things happening across our projects. 💚

One of the big highlights was welcoming BBC Look North to our site for a LIVE broadcast on Monday. 🎥

The broadcast preceded our appearance in 'Gareth Southgate: Changing The Game for Young Men' that aired on BBC One later that same evening. You can still catch the documentary on BBC iPlayer.

As well as spotlighting our role in the documentary, the Look North broadcast also focused on the power of volunteering and the positive impact it can have on confidence, wellbeing, skills and community connection – something we're VERY passionate about!

A big thank you to the BBC North East team for visiting us and helping tell our story. 🙏

It's been quite a week at Middlesbrough Environment City. 💚

We're incredibly proud to have been part of the BBC One documentary 'Gareth Southgate: Changing The Game for Young Men', which aired on Monday 8 June and is still available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

If you missed it, you can see the part of the documentary we feature in here.

It was a privilege to contribute to a documentary that shines a light on such an important issue, highlighting the value of purpose, belonging and positive opportunities for young people. We're grateful to everyone who shared their experiences and helped showcase the impact that volunteering and community can have.

Lights, camera, action! 🎥

We were delighted to welcome BBC Look North to our allotment site for a LIVE broadcast yesterday evening.

The BBC team were here to explore some of the themes of the Gareth Southgate documentary we have been privileged to be part of.

We discussed the power of volunteering and how it can create opportunities for young people to build skills, confidence and take their first steps into employment.

It was great to showcase the impact of our volunteers and the work we do here at Middlesbrough Environment City every day.
