Our East Neighbourhood Team Has Moved!

Due to ongoing renovations, our East Neighbourhood Team will be based at North Ormesby Community Hub for the next few months.

A wide range of our staff who focus on community safety, development and support will be working from the hub every day, working closely with residents, partner organisations and volunteers to help create positive change across the area.

The team now also has a dedicated Environmental Enforcement Officer for North Ormesby and the Boyds Estate. They will be tackling issues including fly-tipping, abandoned and untaxed vehicles, stray dogs and other environmental concerns.

The benefits are already being seen, with community issues reported and addressed more quickly thanks to the team's increased presence in the area.

A number of environmental improvement projects are also under way, helping to create visible changes that have already been noticed by residents.

If you're visiting the hub, be sure to say hello! Our friendly East Neighbourhood Team will be happy to introduce themselves, offer advice and support, and let you know how you can get involved in activities and projects happening in your community.

Community Kindness Rocks!

Our East Neighbourhood team recently joined local residents on Pilkington Street in North Ormesby to give the planters a much-needed refresh.

The day began with a community litter pick, where volunteers helped tidy the area, remove weeds and clear rubbish from the flower beds in preparation for new planting.

Later the team was joined by Cleveland Fire Brigade and Tees Valley Wildlife Trust for a fun-filled afternoon. Residents enjoyed wildlife-themed activities and planting a colourful selection of new flowers.
The Fire Brigade brought along a fire engine and with the help of local children, firefighters used a hose to dampen the soil, ready for the new plants.

In the lead up to the event and throughout the day, residents also had the opportunity to paint kindness rocks. These have now been varnished and placed within the flower beds to brighten the area.
Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success.
