Today, Nathan received a thank you card and a special volunteer pin from Teesside Hospice as part of Volunteers' Week.

Nathan volunteers every Monday at the charity shop, where he works hard, helping the team and supporting the local community.

Pathways 2 Pamper 💅

Last week, we practised our pampering skills by focusing on nails. Clients had the opportunity to paint nails, create nail art and apply stick-on nails, developing their creativity and confidence along the way.

Activities like these provide valuable real-life experiences and help build important life skills.

Well done to everyone who took part, the results looked fantastic! 💅✨

We’ve had a lovely afternoon at the Dinosaur Park in Middlesbrough, enjoying a walk in the sunshine and making the most of the nice weather. ☀️🦖

Today, we made homemade mac and cheese!
There were lots of different steps involved in this recipe, giving everyone the opportunity to practise a range of skills, including measuring ingredients, grating cheese, stirring sauces, following instructions, and using kitchen equipment safely.

How amazing do these look👏

We kept it simple in the kitchen today and made omelettes 🍳

A simple recipe with just a few ingredients, but very tasty! We also practised important life skills, following verbal instructions, and learning how to use the hob safely while cooking.

We finished by making some delicious cakes 🥮 🧁

As part of our Life Purpose Learning Nathan has been building his confidence through meaningful volunteering at the charity shop.
Yesterday, he had a busy morning making sure the floor was swept before labelling and sorting through books, CDs, and DVDs. He then carefully put everything out on the shelves and made sure they were all tidy and organised.

What a wonderful afternoon we’ve had welcoming some parents in to enjoy a special afternoon tea together. ☕🍰

As part of our life purpose learning, our service users planned the full menu, prepared the food during our Wednesday cooking sessions, and proudly created and served everything today. From choosing recipes and working together in the kitchen to presenting and serving the food.

A huge well done to everyone involved for all their hard work and for making the afternoon such a success! 💛
