Due to the weather warning ⚠️ ahead of storm Austins arrival we have decided to close the woods tomorrow.

These decisions are always hard to make but everyone's safety is paramount.

Our trees have suffered so much recently and are therefore pretty unpredictable

Apple-tastic fun in the woods yesterday.

Yes it was raining but the children from Toadhall Nursery had a great time collecting water and enjoying the apple crafts laid out.

The warming fire was a real draw on such a damp day and a perfect place to warm up and share tasty campfire toasted apples

🍎 Happy Apple Day! 🍏✨

Today is the perfect excuse to celebrate one of autumn’s simplest little treasures — the humble apple!

🍎 Head to your local pick-your-own and gather some fresh apples
🍂 Take a walk and see how many different apple trees you can spot
🥧 Then head home and turn your harvest into a delicious apple crumble!

There’s something rather special about picking your own food, bringing it home and turning it into something the whole family can enjoy. ❤️

And whilst you’re eating your crumble, why not save an apple seed or two and wonder...
🌱 Could this tiny seed one day grow into a great big apple tree?

Have a wonderful Apple Day and enjoy a little taste of autumn! 🍎🍂

Keep exploring… 🌿
