🐾 The Gruffalo Woodland Adventure 🐾
Where little explorers can step into the deep, dark wood… 🌲✨

Join us for a magical Gruffalo-inspired woodland adventure, where we’ll follow in the footsteps of the Gruffalo and discover some of the wonderful creatures, colours and textures hiding in the woods.

Together we’ll:
🐾 Paint a muddy Gruffalo — get creative and bring your very own Gruffalo to life
🦉 Have a go at owl quill art — explore feathers and create your own woodland-inspired artwork
💜 Make purple prickle tie-dye — create something colourful and magical inspired by the Gruffalo’s famous purple prickles!

The woodland will be filled with creative invitations and Gruffalo-inspired activities for children to explore at their own pace. There’ll be plenty of time to play, discover and follow their own curiosity amongst the trees 🍃

After our adventures, we’ll gather around the campfire to:
🔥 Enjoy a tasty woodland snack
📖 Share a Gruffalo-inspired story
🎶 Join in with our farewell woodland sing-along

A wonderful morning of nature, creativity, imagination and woodland play — perfect for little explorers who love getting muddy and discovering where their imagination can take them! 🌿🐾

As we near the end of the summer its time to thank our little helpers.

As a lone worker it's a blessing when you have helpers but these two are the specialist of them all 🫶

My youngest was just 18 months old when I started and as he prepares to start year 4 and my oldest takes the largest step into secondary school I can't help but think how blessed I am to have such amazing boys who have helped shape many of this summer sessions.

I always feel sad when the summer comes to an end but knowing that next time I step into these woods these two will be back at school and will be truely missed 💚

Several weeks ago a boy found this bit of root in the stream and found it again last week. I put this away to allow it to dry and today, as part of our mythical creature week he used clay to form a new mythical creature as a memory of his time in the woods with us this summer
