The post office will be operating on adjusted hours in an effort to align with our Mission Support Group's (MSG) monthly Proficiency & Contingency Readiness Day. ‼️Attention RAFM Postal Patrons‼️

This is a notification regarding the mandatory bi-annual mailbox inactivity check, in accordance with USAFE guidance. RFID key fobs have been issued and mailbox assignments facilitated since May 23, 2025. As we have reached the 30-day issuance threshold, this inactivity check is now required.

To maintain uninterrupted access to your assigned mailbox, please complete one of the following actions no later than Wednesday, July 16, 2025:
⚠️Temporary Duty (TDY) or Deployment: Submit official orders to Customer Service at [email protected] or deliver them to the Customer Service window.

⚠️Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Submit your out-processing checklist along with your orders in person.

⚠️Leave: Submit a mail hold request to Customer Service immediately.

Personnel who have not yet retrieved their RFID key fobs must visit Customer Service or the Finance section at the Post Office to sign their Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and collect their fob.

Failure to complete one of the above-listed actions by Wednesday, July 16, 2025, close of business, will result in your mailbox being designated inactive and your mail redirected to General Delivery. Continued failure to retrieve mail from General Delivery will result in permanent mailbox closure.

RAF Mildenhall Post Office Patrons,

The RAFM Post Office will be closed on Saturday, 12 July 2025 due to a scheduled power outage for maintenance. We will reopen for normal operations on Monday, 14 July 2025, at 0900-1700

Mail Service During Closure:
✅First Class Mail: First Class Mail will be available through the weekend as the post office mailboxes are not on the power grid.

✅Package Delivery: Incoming packages will be placed in smart lockers as space allows through close of business on Friday, July 11th, 2025 until 1700. Locker allocation is random and based on package size. You will be notified if your package is delivered to a locker. Please note that Smart Lockers must be emptied in a timely manner for them to be effective for all Team Mildenhall.

RAF Mildenhall Post Office Patrons,

RAFM Post Office Closure - 4th of July Weekend

The RAFM Post Office will be closed for the 4th of July holiday weekend, from July 4th through July 7th, 2025. We will reopen for normal customer service operations on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at 0900.

Mail Service During Closure:
⚠️Express Mail: Tomorrow, 2 July will be the last day of this week to send out Express Mail. However, all other services will be available through Thursday, 3 July (priority mail, and other services)

⚠️First Class Mail: First Class Mail delivery and sorting will continue as usual through the weekend and will be available.

⚠️Package Delivery: Incoming packages will be placed in smart lockers as space allows. Locker allocation is random and based on package size. You will be notified if your package is delivered to a locker. Please note that Smart Lockers must be emptied in a timely manner for them to be effective for all Team Mildenhall.

‼️Smart Locker Etiquette:
Whether assigned a smart locker on weekdays or weekends, please retrieve your package(s) promptly. Aim to empty your locker within 1-2 days. This ensures maximum locker availability, especially during extended weekends.

Thank you for your patience during our box allocations. We understand you may have questions regarding the box allocation process. Here are some answers to common queries:

⚠️Who can sign the memorandum and receive the key fobs? Only the sponsor is authorized to sign the memorandum and receive the key fobs.

⚠️What if the sponsor is deployed or TDY? If the sponsor is deployed or TDY and unable to come in person, we can email a copy of the memorandum for digital signature. Please provide a copy of the sponsor's deployment/TDY orders.

⚠️How many keys do retirees receive? Retirees are allotted one key.

⚠️Do I have to come on the specific day assigned to my box number? We are operating according to the schedule to maintain organization. However, the schedule is a rolling calendar. You may come any day after the date assigned to your box number to pick up your keys.

⚠️What time are you open for box allocations? We will be open at 0700 on the designated days to accommodate shift workers. See the schedule below for specific dates and times.

The schedule for box allocations, based on box numbers are as follows:

▫️Tuesday, 27 May: 0700 - 1600 for boxes 1–3000 ▫️Thursday, 29 May: 0700 – 1600 for boxes 1-5000
▫️Friday, 30 May: 0700 – 1600, All remaining boxes

Greetings Postal Patrons,

Exciting News! RFID Mailboxes Are Now Available at RAF Mildenhall Post Office!

We're thrilled to announce that the upgraded RFID mailbox system is now fully operational at the RAF Mildenhall Post Office! If you have a mailbox numbered between 1 and 1500, please visit the Post Office on Thursday, May 22nd, between 0900 and 1600 to pick up your RFID Key Fob and sign the Statement of Understanding (SOU).

‼️Sponsors: If you have dependents over 18 listed as authorized users on your account, you are welcome to receive an additional Key Fob for them.

‼️Mil-to-Mil Couples: Each member of a military-to-military couple is entitled to their own Key Fob. Please come in during your designated timeframe to sign your individual SOU and receive your fob.

To ensure a smooth and efficient distribution process, and due to space limitations, we kindly request that only customers with mailboxes in the 1-1500 range visit us on May 22nd. Requests for mailboxes outside of this range will be denied.

Here's the schedule for the remaining mailbox distribution:
⚠️Thursday, May 22nd: Boxes 1-1500
⚠️Friday, May 23rd & Tuesday, May 27th: Boxes 1-3000
⚠️Thursday, May 29th: Boxes 1-5000
