🎉 Massive congratulations 🎉

Over the past week Petty Officer Cadet Iwan has been undergoing his training and assessment to become a Cadet Drill Instructor.

After lots of hard work and effort he has PASSED!!!

BZ POC Iwan a very difficult qualification to gain but well earned.

🌊⛵️🛶 Bank Holiday Training Day 🚣🏼‍♀️⛵️🌊

Today saw cadets and staff attend a training day to progress through various waterborne qualifications.

Throughout the day (even though it was a warm one) our cadets pushed themselves to gain the following qualifications:

1x Windsurf Taster Certificate
2x Youth Sailing Stage 1
7x Youth Sailing Taster Certificates
2x Rowing Taster Certificates
2x Row 2 (Competant Crew)
4x Paddle Start Awards

A huge congratulations to all of the cadets and a massive thank you to the volunteers who gave up their time to assist our cadets gain these experiences!

🌊West Wales District Combined Regatta Results🌊

Milford Haven have done outstanding today with their efforts coming home with ALL gold!

Junior Sea Cadet Rowing Team - WINNERS 🥇
Junior Girls Rowing Team - WINNERS 🥇
Open Girls Rowing Team - WINNERS 🥇
K1 Time Trial Open Boys - AC Broad WINNER 🥇
K1 Sprint Open Boys - AC Broad WINNER 🥇
Pembrokeshire Volunteer Rowing Team - WINNERS🥇
And to top it all off…..

We became the OVERALL Winners of the Combined Regatta!

We are so proud of all cadets that took part in the competition and bring on Area!

A massive congratulations to all of our cadets who attended the West Wales District Multi Activity Cadet Training Weekend.

Our cadets gained the following qualifications:
1 x Powerboat Level 1
2 x Powerboat Level 2
1 x Youth Sailing stage 2
1 x Youth Windsurfing Stage 2
1 x Rowing Touring Module
3 x Basic Mountain Biking
1 x Basic Air Rifle Shooting

A huge well done to all of the cadets for their hardwork and dedication to gaining these qualifications! But also to all the staff from around the District for giving up their time to develop our cadets!

This evening the Commanding Officer - SLt (SCC) Lloyd Jones RNR and First Lieutenant - Lt (SCC) Christopher Harvey-Jones RNR had the pleasure of attending the Mayor Handover for Milford Haven.

After the official handover of the Mayoral chains, it was announced that Petty Officer Cadet Iwan would become the Mayors Cadet for 26/27. A prestigious role within the town!

We would like to thank the Mayor of Milford Haven - Cllr Mark Woodward for choosing POC Iwan as his Mayors Cadet for the year, we look forward to working with you Sir and seeing POC Iwan’s adventures throughout the year!
