Happy 100th Birthday Sir David Attenborough! Penblwydd hapus!

This is a marine chiton (related to the terrestrial woodlouse) from Dale near where Sir David served as a naval officer at HMS Goldcrest. During that time he was captivated and enchanted by the rich wildlife of the area including the marine life in rock pools and muddy flats. Thank you Sir David for captivating and enchanting (and educating) us all for so many years.

We're looking for a Marine Project Manager to lead an ambitious new project in one of Wales’ most exceptional coastal landscapes.

💸 £35,000 – £38,000 per annum
📅 Fixed term: 18 months
📍 Hybrid working, based in Pembrokeshire with occasional UK travel
⌛ Full-time (35 hours per week)

As Marine Project Manager, you will lead delivery of our pioneering marine project to explore how nature and communities can be supported through integrated land and sea planning and management.

Hosted by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, the role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of one of the UK’s most distinctive coastal and marine environments.

We’re proud to be leading the Aberdaugleddau Biosecurity Community Development (ABCD) project here in the Milford Haven Waterway, thanks to funding from the Nature Networks Fund, a programme delivered by the Heritage Fund on behalf of the Welsh Government.

The ABCD project brings our community together to tackle the spread of invasive non‑native species (INNS) - protecting our local ecosystems and helping safeguard the economic wellbeing of businesses that rely on a healthy waterway.
