Unfortunately, Fergus isn't quite ready to run this year but that shouldn't stop you from voting tomorrow!

Take the cat. Go vote. Bird watch.

In less than 24 hours, the polls will open across Southampton. Voters will have their chance to have their say on who represents them on the council.

A quick guide to what is happening tomorrow: 📑

7am: Polls open bright and early - Check the link in the comment below to find your local polling station, it will also be printed on your poll card (you do not need to bring your poll but it may speed up the process a little bit).

Remember. Everyone will NEED to show photo ID in order to vote. Link in comments will tell you what ID is acceptable.

10pm: Polls close - as long as you are in the queue by the time the clock strikes 10pm, you should still be able to vote.

You cannot take photographs inside the polling station. It is a criminal offense to do so, however you may choose to take photos outside of the polling station, so be sure to snap a pic of your dog waiting to do their civic duty. 📷🐶

Writing equipment will be provided to you but you may choose to bring your own pen or pencil should you wish to. ✒️

Results will be announced as soon as they are publicly available.

Make sure you have your say and make your voice heard tomorrow!

🐾 [NFA ANNOUNCEMENT]: LEADER’S BIRTHDAY 🎂🏛️

Today, Cabinet operations are… paused.

It’s Fergus’ birthday.

The Leader of the NFA has officially stepped away from the politics of Southampton to focus on far more important matters:
snacks
attention
and strategic nibbles

🐯 Reddington (statement issued):
“Unavoidable.”

🧱 CABINET POSITION
Even leaders require a day of celebration.

Normal operations will resume shortly.

🐾 [NFA CIVIC OBSERVANCE]: ST GEORGE’S DAY 🏛️🐉

The Cabinet acknowledges St George’s Day.

A day for:
local pride
community
and quietly getting on with things

🐾 CABINET OBSERVATION
You don’t need flags everywhere to care about where you live.

Sometimes it’s:
noticing what works
noticing what doesn’t
and wanting it to be better

🐯 Reddington:
“Pride is practical.”

🧱 NFA POSITION
Support your local area.
Take care of it.
Be part of it.

🐾 [NFA TACTICAL BRIEFING]: OPERATION: GRIDLOCK OVERWATCH 🏛️🚧📉

The Cabinet has formally rejected the concept of “Saturday morning traffic.”

After a brief administrative hiatus,
Fergus and Reddington, along with Sid, have returned to find the M3 and M27 operating under… questionable conditions. ⚖️

📂 THE WEEKEND LOGISTICS AUDIT

🐾 Fergus
Conducting long-range surveillance of the M27 Junction 7 resurfacing works.

Verdict:
The asphalt is fresh.
The journey times are not. 🧐🛣️

🐯 Reddington
Now acting as Regional Traffic Controller.
A state of Maximum Detour has been declared.
Return times are currently… optimistic. 👀🚧

🧱 LOCAL POLICY POSITION
We support Southampton drivers navigating the closures.
But when a short journey becomes a long one, it’s worth asking why.

🐾 NFA GETS REAL

Fergus has been… vocal.
He’s making it clear what he stands for.

Today?
Still a treats kind of day.

🐯 Reddington has been reviewing something more serious.

He’s been looking into the movement —
where there’s a strong push to keep the New Forest together, not split.

🐾 CABINET POSITION
When communities speak,
they should be heard.

There’s a petition currently open if you want to have your say. Go to their page & show some support.

🐾 [NFA STATUS UPDATE]: REDUCED OPERATIONS 🏠📉

The Cabinet is currently operating at…
reduced capacity.

Fergus has assumed a
“home-based supervisory role.”

Reddington is maintaining oversight from a safe distance.

🐾 CURRENT CONDITIONS
unpredictable
slightly chaotic
snacks required at all times

🧱 CABINET POSITION
Some days are for infrastructure.
Some days are for just… getting through it.

Normal operations will resume when possible.

🐾 [NFA TACTICAL BRIEFING]: OPERATION: BUREAUCRATIC AUDIT 🏛️🧱🛑📉

Generic governance and ignoring constituents has been formally VETOED within the Southampton jurisdiction.
A proposed £850,000 road scheme has entered the Cabinet’s review process.

Recent reporting indicates the council is “not ready” to meet residents. ⚖️📈

📂 THE LOGISTICAL AUDIT
🐾 Fergus (Baron Ashworth)
Has assumed command of the engineering blueprints.
A Physical Audit of the proposed junction is currently pending.

Verdict:
The investment is clear.
Further clarity is required. 🧐

🐯 Reddington (Baron Hawthorne)
Maintaining Level 4 Logistical Overwatch.

Verdict:
The budget is noted.
Resident engagement should follow.
A potential bottleneck has been identified…
and, separately, tuna 👀🐟

🧱 LOCAL POLICY POSITION
We do not just exist in the jurisdiction —
We are part of it.

Paws and Order supports infrastructure that:
Works
Makes sense
Keeps residents informed

📣 NEXT AUDIT REQUESTED
Which Southampton road, junction, or “why is it like this?” location should the NFA review next?
