Hi All,
This is what the buses will be doing during the road closure on Military Road on the coast road between Monday 14th September and Friday 2nd October

There is no allowance for school buses to go through the works.

Military Road along the coast between Tregantle and Cawsand will not be able to be served by buses during the period from Monday 14th September to Friday 2nd October.

During this time ALL buses will operate using Hounster Hill between Millbrook and Tregantle in both directions. Buses to Cremyll will go to Kingsand and Cawsand where they will turn and head to Millbrook and Cremyll.

Buses to Plymouth from Cremyll will go via Kingsand and Cawsand to Millbrook and Insworke and then Hounster Hill to Tregantle and normal route back to Plymouth from there.

70B will follow the same diversion 70S will also follow the same diversion there will be no school bus along the coast road during this period.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this diversion due to South West Water works on Military Road in this period.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the survey for use of the main recreation field. The Parish Council had a meeting last night The meeting was attended by six members of the public which included three representatives from Millbrook Football Club.

The Parish Council voted unanimously to support the public vote.

The next stage will be to formalise a licence agreement which will detail the terms of use and will be signed by both parties. Millbrook Football Club has a committee meeting on 7th September and will go through the Parish Councilโ€™s draft agreement. Once the agreement is signed then work / grass cutting will commence.

A large wildfire is burning near the Tamar Bridge, with smoke affecting visibility in the area.

If you're crossing the bridge, please slow down, keep your attention on the road and do not stop to watch or take photographs. If you encounter smoke, reduce your speed, increase your following distance and keep your windows closed.

Please follow instructions from emergency services and Tamar Crossings staff.

We are aware of a significant wildfire in the vicinity of the Tamar Bridge and are continually monitoring the visibility levels caused by the resulting smoke.

Our teams are assessing conditions to ensure it remains safe for vehicles to continue crossing. If visibility levels change, we will provide further updates.
In the meantime, please:

๐Ÿš— Do not be distracted by the fire โ€“ keep your attention on the road and do not attempt to take photographs or videos while driving.

โš ๏ธ Take extra care when approaching the toll plaza. Our staff are walking around the area as we monitor the situation, so please slow down and follow any instructions from our team.

๐Ÿ’จ If you encounter smoke, reduce your speed and increase your following distance. Keep windows closed if smoke is affecting the road. Be prepared for reduced visibility and avoid sudden manoeuvres.
