OWL CrimeWatch North Wales is about (building resilience)_
About Us - we are a community grass roots charitable organisation, which works to help building community resilience The Association was established in 1987 and exists to promote 'good neighbouring' where local people 'watch' out' for each other and seek to combat the things that threaten the quality of community life. In June 2014 the Association changed its name, but not its values, to reflect all of the watch schemes that it operates. Originally it was formed solely as a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme Association, but in helping to support the Police & Community Safety crime reduction plan the Association has developed over 60 types of watch schemes. Further information on this can be found from our website overview. The Association is independant from Police, but supports service delivery that complements and supports the Crime Plans of the Local Authorities as well as the Police & Crime Commissioner for North Wales, Welsh Government and Home Office to facilitate safe and secure environments that embrace diversity, race, faith and spans generations. We particularly support vulnerable and older people as diverse as disadvantaged neighbourhoods, farming and rural communities, through responding to people's concerns to enable them to be, and feel safer, secure and supported, engaging young people along the way. It does this through its operation of various types of watch schemes using OWL crime and safety system to help The introduction of our crime prevention shop, both online, and via crime prevention 'pop up' clinics in our communities resulted from requests from public OWL Cymru is a registered crime prevention charity - established in 1987 do visit our website for more details about us ! www.owlcymru.org If you would like to donate, please click below:
