🔶LIB DEMS SLAM COUNCIL LEADER OVER MILLIONS IN SCHOOL DEBT and his : ‘I DON'T HAVE TO JUSTIFY IT' bizarre attitude.🔶

Cllr Andrew Parkhurst said: "Labour's priorities are completely upside down. They are contemplating catastrophic cuts to essential services while asking residents to shoulder decades of additional debt for a school they overwhelmingly oppose."🤦

When you elect 🔸LibDem councillors, you elect people who care about their community and want to make it better. Well done to our Town Councillor Nanette Davies for driving through this fantastic initiative to bring people together!

🚨 SCHOOL TRANSPORT DANGER 🚨
I have been sent a shocking video. It appears to show a Flintshire taxi driver watching YouTube while driving a vulnerable child with additional learning needs to school.
This is not safe. This is not acceptable. Children must be protected.
I have asked the Council for answers. I want to know how this was allowed to happen. I want to know what will change to keep our children safe.
The Council says there is no sign that this happens a lot. But if this child had not filmed it, no one would have known.
So I need to find out: Was this a one off? Or are other children being put in danger on the way to or from school?
If you or your child have had a scary experience with school transport, you can tell me in confidence.

Your story could help keep children safe.

The Flintshire Libdems along with our Mold Town Councillors have been deeply shocked by what happened at Mold Town Council offices and are grateful to North Wales Police for taking action. We also would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff of the council for the important and sometimes thankless work they do everyday to help the people of Mold.

🚓 UPDATE FOLLOWING INCIDENT AT MOLD TOWN COUNCIL OFFICES

Following the incident at the Mold Town Council Offices, we are pleased to share the update issued by North Wales Police confirming that a 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the damage caused to our offices and another nearby premises.

We would like to sincerely thank HGC De Sir Fflint / NWP South Flintshire for their extremely quick response, the work undertaken following the incident and importantly, the support and reassurance provided to Town Council staff.

Incidents such as this are upsetting and disruptive, particularly for the staff directly affected and the professional and supportive response from the attending officers has been very much appreciated.

Thank you also to everyone who has contacted the Town Council with messages of concern and support.

Estyn’s assessment of Flintshire Education services is damning. The inspectorate has said it causes “significant concerns”
🔸We are asking the council to do five things to rectify the situation🔸starting by pausing the schools closure programme as it cannot be done under these conditions

Those people are not serious. Whilst we have fires on Halkyn Mountain, they think it’s all a joke…. while living in Dubai in air conditioned apartments.

🔶 The Flintshire Lib Dem group is demanding the immediate publication of the complete decision trail around the funding of the proposed new Catholic Super School, including who first proposed the arrangement, who authorised it, what discussions took place with the Diocese and governing bodies, and whether any contribution from them was ever requested.🔶
Cllr David Coggins Cogan said: ‘Labour is asleep at the wheel. It has spent months marching to the Diocese’s tune and driving forward the closure of four schools, while apparently nobody in Cabinet stopped to ask who had agreed to hand Flintshire taxpayers the entire bill⬇ See the story in the comments⬇

We fully support and will continue to demand a fair and transparent process. As we highlighted already, clarity on the real costs to the council is paramount.
Our Group Leader on Flintshire county council Andrew Parkhurst sums it up 🔸“The previous process was halted and the Cabinet promised to reflect and improve. They have failed to do this. The only reasonable course of action is to halt the consultation yet again and start again looking at the correct evidence.”🔸
