Did you know you can buy a Smart Water property marking kit from Mold Town Council for just £5 (usual price £59.50)???

The town council are working in partnership with North Wales Police to bring the 'We Don't Buy Crime' initiative to the area, helping you protect your items of property (jewellery, tools, phones, bikes, etc) and make them less appealing to criminals! 🔐

If you live in Mold and would like a Smart Water kit, come along to the Mold Town Council Office on Wednesday to purchase one!

PCSO's from the WDBC team will be on the market stall just outside the office, on hand to register your kit and show you how it works 👮🏼

☕🌾 RABI Coffee Morning – Cilcain Community Café 🌾☕
Yesterday, Charlotte C4500 and Taylor C4562 had the pleasure of attending a coffee morning at Cilcain Community Café, raising funds for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI). 💚
RABI is a charity dedicated to supporting the farming community across England and Wales, providing practical, financial and emotional support to farming people and their families when they need it most.
It was lovely to see the community coming together to support such a worthwhile cause and help raise awareness of the fantastic work RABI does. 🌾
A huge well done to all the lovely ladies who organised the event and worked so hard to make it a success! 💚👏

Earlier this year PCSO Dan was notified by Southdown School and local residents of issued with unsafe parking outside the school. This included parking on the double yellow lines and zig-zags which causes a hazard for children crossing the road. Listening to these concerns Dan met with the headteacher and decided a banner competition might be a good idea to help the children get involved as well.

Dan worked with 5 of the children at the school who between them, designed a fantastic banner. All the children were awarded certificates for their hard work and the banner will be displayed outside the school to remind those dropping the children off how important it is to park safely.

Over the last few days we have received a number of reports relating to the theft of scooters/bikes in the area.

This kind of theft can happen in seconds, but taking some simple precautions can help keep your bike/scooter safe:

🔒 - Store it securely and out of view
📷 - Take photos of your bike/scooter
✍🏻 - Record the serial number
🏷️ - Register your property with a bike marking scheme

🌠 🌜 TWILIGHT PATROLS 🌛🌠

Over the coming weeks, as the darker evenings arrive, officers from will be conducting targeted patrols across the Flintshire South district, posting leaflets through the doors of any property in darkness.

By doing this, we're hoping to raise awareness and prevent anyone becoming a victim of any opportunist burglars.
