🔨 NEW Mini-Exhibition & Talk at Lancaster City Museum!
200 years ago, thousands of desperate handloom weavers from across Pennine Lancashire took to the roads demanding help in the face of starvation.
Their pleas were not met with support, but with sabres, bullets and bayonets - a defining moment in the history of protest and resistance.
Now the Weavers' Uprising Bicentennial Committee have planned a touring exhibition and lecture series to mark the bicentennial of the 1826 Lancashire Rising.

🏵️ The exhibition is at Lancaster City Museum in Market Square from 18 August to 14 September. It's included with standard museum admission.
🕥 Visit 10:30am - 4pm, every day except Wednesdays & Thursdays.
