Northumberland Zoo is a family run, not-for-profit Zoo in the heart of Northumberland. Our mission is to be the main wildlife education and conservation hub in the Northeast. From tiny Harvest Mice to a huge Clydesdale Horse, Northumberland Zoo is home to over 500 animals of 100+ species. We have big plans to become the next largest zoological collection in this area with the addition of Snow Leop

🐾 New Animal Arrived!🐾

Meet Sally, a Linne’s Two-Toed Sloth, a slow-moving new resident who only goes to the toilet once a week! She’s hanging out with white-faced saki monkeys, Goeldi’s monkeys, pygmy marmosets, and agouti in Rainforest Lookout.

Come see Sally in action… very slow, steady action.

The cows are so excited to welcome you for half-price December!

They’ve got a brand new winter sand paddock which they are thrilled about, see if you can catch some zoomies when you visit.

We have 3 cattle, two Highlands (Dozer and Peaches) and a Hereford X Bullock named Red. Dozer was born 8 weeks premature and was hand-reared by our team at just 8kg, while Peaches, his half-sister, was reared by her mum.

Dozer and Peaches are both 3 years old and Red is an epic 12 years old.

It’s so great to see them all having fun and you can see more of their set-up in our latest Youtube Zoo News Update.
