June is Pride Month! To that end we have created 2 brilliant displays to celebrate. There is one for Adults just by the Kiosks and one for Young Adults in the junior Library. They are a mix of Fiction and Non-Fiction and we are sure you will find something to suit! Remember these books are around all year though, just look for the Rainbow Flag on the Spine. In the meantime, enjoy Pride month however you get involved. And don't forget our very own local Queens Heath Pride !!!!🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

We've talked a lot about the new books that we've had recently, but can we take a moment to admire this lovely new set of complete Shakespeare plays? Gosh we love a book set here 😍😁

Whether you are studying, off to see a play and want to revise or just like to read them you will find them all 38, from the more obscure to the most popular. These editions are great because as well as the plays themselves there are notes and historical context.

And anyway, they look lovely!!

Hooray! It looks like we are finally getting warm weather 🌞. To that end we have put away our Warm Things until the Autumn. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated hats, gloves, and scarves. We know that there were lots of people who made things especially which is a kind gift, not just of the warm things but of their own time. It was all very much appreciated.

If you are free on Tuesday mornings then pop along to our totally FREE workshop for adults. It's an informal and friendly group aimed at all skill levels and all materials are provided. There are also FREE refreshments!! This is a lovely group that enjoys a chat as much as they enjoy creating and is a perfect way to make friends and improve your well being.

In the last couple of months we have had quite a lot of Lost Property. Most of it gets retrieved thankfully but we have had 2 pieces that we were sure their owners would want back but are still here. Maybe they didn't realise they were lost here.

One was a photograph the other is a watch, both of which we feel has sentimental value. So if you have lost something like these recently (they were not lost together) then please come in and describe it so we can give it back.
