Our next speakers evening is on THURSDAY, 20th August at 7pm in our Research Centre 122-124 Merry Street, Motherwell. ML1 1NA.

'Tales from the Beat, Policing in Lanarkshire in the 1960's & 1970's' by Campbell Thomson.

Campbell is a retired senior police officer (Superintendent) who joined the ranks of the local Lanarkshire Constabulary as a young recruit.
I have no doubt that the evening will prove to be very interesting, informative and entertaining.

Benjamin is a PhD Historian at University of Strathclyde and has a special interest project looking at the Polish and Italian immigrant communities and their families who have made Scotland their home.

“How to Start Your Research” Session

The Session is scheduled for Saturday 6th December in the Research Centre.

Starting at 10:00 am until 12:00pm. (Limited spaces) The cost is
£15.00. It is aimed mainly at beginners both members and non-members doing their family research.

The Centre will be open until 3:00pm if you wished to stay on and use the Centre’s research facilities.

Bring your own sandwich, there is a kettle to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee.
