Last night was all about refreshing and practicing our “working at height” skill set.

A busy 24/48 hours (for us!) assisting our colleagues from across the county in tackling a barn fire in Cheshunt, and also attending other incidents whilst returning to our home station.

Tonight the crew took part in a road traffic collision training exercise, working with a vehicle positioned on its side.

Training for scenarios like this is essential, as every road traffic collision can present different risks and challenges. A vehicle on its side requires careful stabilisation, safe casualty access and close teamwork to ensure crews can operate safely and effectively.

Realistic scenarios like this are a great opportunity to strengthen skills, share experience and make sure crews are prepared for the incidents they may face in the community.

This kind of regular training is a key part of keeping our crews ready to respond when they are needed most.
