School Opening at 10am: Severe Road Conditions

Due to the low freezing temperatures tonight and partially thawed snow, we have made the decision to open slightly later tomorrow (Thursday 8th January), at 10am, to ensure parents, staff and busses can make journeys as safely as possible. Any further changes to this will be communicated as soon as possible.

Good evening and a Happy New Year to you all.

We have been asked by Highland Council to let families know as early as possible and preferably before tomorrow, about school closure, due to adverse weather.

Under guidance from Police Scotland and The Highland Council, we have made the decision to close Tore Primary School, on Wednesday 7th January, to both pupils and staff.

I apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and will be in touch with further communication should there be changes to opening on Thursday 8th January.

We have been informed of the Kessock Bridge being closed because to the incoming storm. Due to this we will have to close the school at 12.30 to ensure all parents can safely collect children and to allow onward travel for those that may need to cross the bridge.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

Please be aware that the school is open as usual today (Friday 24th January). We are monitoring the weather conditions and will notify parents if there is any change to this throughout the day.

Due to the severe ice on side roads, we have decided to open Tore Primary School an hour later at 10am. Please be very careful on your journeys today. Buses are running, but there may be slight delays. They have been told to collect children from the usual stops, an hour later than normal. Any further complications from buses, and we will let you know.

Due to adverse weather conditions, Tore Primary School will be closed today, Thursday 9th January. We apologise for the disruption.

Road conditions are very dangerous, so please be careful if you are venturing out.

Tore Primary School will be closed today, Thursday 21st November, due to the severe weather conditions. If you need to venture out, please be careful and stay safe. Sneckie Taxis have also confirmed that school transport is also cancelled.

Due to a road traffic accident on the A9 North of the Kessock Bridge, Sneckie Taxis will not be running a bus service this morning. They apologise for any inconvenience.

We have just been informed that the power outage is not going to be fully restored until around 4pm. Unfortunately this means we will need to close the school today while engineers fix the fault. Please accept my apology for this continued disruption to your child’s education.

Dear Parents and Carers. Tore Primary School and the surrounding area currently has no power. We have asked the bus company to collect pupils for a 10 am start, in the hopes the power will be back on soon. We will stay in touch if anything changes.
