Join us at 1pm where our storyteller will be reading 'Dogs and Bears' by Max Porter and 'Where's Pierre?' by Emma Clarke. 🐶

Perfect for children aged 4 to 8 who love adventures, books, and making friends. There's colouring-in and toys to play with afterwards too!

'You're called what?!' by Kes Gray is beautifully illustrated and explores the hilarious names of different creatures in a fun and educational way! 🐦🐶🐞
'The little stranger' by Sarah Waters comes highly recommended by Laura who found it "extremely haunting, gripping and very chilling! An unnerving and spooky read set in post-war summer, at a crumbling English manor house."🦇🕍🎨

Join us on Wednesday 7th October for a 'Wee Read' where we will be inviting everyone to stop, take a few minutes, and enjoy the pleasure of reading.

Led by Scotland’s libraries in partnership with mental health charities, publishers, booksellers, authors, educators and community organisations, the 'Wee Read' campaign is an annual celebration of reading. As part of the campaign we are encouraging more people into libraries to inspire everyone to read regularly for pleasure and explore the amazing range of services libraries offer. Whether it’s a novel, comic, magazine, newspaper, audiobook, poem, or recipe, every kind of reading counts.

Do you, or does someone you know, live with sight loss or a visual impairment?

RNIB Scotland, in partnership with Highland BlindCraft Sensory Services and the Macular Society, is holding a Sight Loss Support Group at Nairn Library on the first Tuesday of every month (2-3.30pm).

Open to anyone affected by sight loss, these sessions offer an opportunity to learn about local and national support services, discover helpful technology and products, share experiences, and meet others affected by sight loss in a friendly and supportive environment. Family, friends and carers welcome.

Our junior library member Rosie recommends 'Kitty and the Moonlight Rescue' by Paula Harrison and has loved the whole series of Kitty adventures which are great for 7-10 year olds.
