The countdown is on for tomorrow’s Reading Tent at Nantwich Market!📚

Join us on Saturday 30th May from 10am to 2pm for a fun-filled day celebrating stories, imagination, and the National Year of Reading. ✨

There will be storytimes, creative activities, music, and plenty of family fun throughout the day, including:

• The Gruffalo Storytime
• Peter Rabbit Storytime
• Rhyme Time with Hullabaloo Kids
• Bookmark making activities
• A special reading from the Mayor

We can’t wait to see lots of families enjoying a magical day of reading together📖

If you are walking a dog today or over the next few days - go out in the early morning or late evening when it’s cooler. DO NOT walk a dog during the hottest parts of the day.

Don’t run or cycle with your dog when it’s hot.

DO NOT leave them in the car or tied up in the heat!

Pavements can get very hot! You know the saying, "it's hot enough to fry an egg!" Imagine what that does to your poor dogs' feet! If the ground is too hot to touch with your hand for five seconds, it’s too hot for paws!

What a fantastic evening I had celebrating the very best of Nantwich at the Salt of the Earth Awards last night. ✨

It was a privilege to recognise some of our town’s incredible unsung heroes — the volunteers, organisations, businesses and individuals who go above and beyond to support others and make Nantwich such a special place to belong.

Congratulations to all of our award winners and nominees, and thank you to everyone who gives their time, kindness and energy to our community. You truly are the heart of Nantwich. ❤️
