Unfortunately, due to the poor weather conditions forecast for tomorrow, Thursday 27th August, we have made the decision to cancel Nantwich’s Big Read.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

📚 Nantwich’s Big Read is coming next week for the National Year of Reading!

Come along to St Mary’s Church on Thursday 27th August from 10am to 2pm and join us for a celebration of all things reading.

There’ll be plenty to enjoy, including Betty the Book Bus from Nantwich Bookshop and Coffee Lounge., storytime with Nantwich Library at 12pm, and bookmark colouring in our Reading Tent.

Plus, Nantwich Library will be keeping the fun going from 1pm to 4pm with a Hungry Caterpillar craft event! 🐛

Hop on the bus and enjoy Nantwich for free!✨🚌

Free bus travel will be available on selected event days, making it even easier to head into Nantwich and enjoy everything going on in the town centre.

Travel free on local bus services from within the Nantwich boundary on:

Friday 4th September 2026 – Nantwich Food Festival
Saturday 5th September 2026 – Nantwich Food Festival
Friday 20th November 2026 – Christmas Lights Switch On
Saturday 23rd January 2027 – Holly Holy Day

Workshops at Nantwich Market this Food Festival Weekend! 🎉

Join us on Friday 4th September for a fantastic afternoon of workshops hosted by some of our wonderful Nantwich Market traders.

🌸12pm – Floristry Workshop with The little cottage garden cheshire
Create a beautiful floral display in a vintage teacup. £10 per person, session time approx. 1-1.5 hrs.

🌿2pm – Aroma Balance Workshop with Beauty By Naomi Organic & Vegan Salon
Make your own beautifully scented body lotion using organic ingredients and essential oils. £10 per person, session time approx. 30-45 minutes.

✏️3pm – Drawing Workshop with Sue Everett - Nantwich Art & Giftware
More details and tickets will be available soon.

🍬4pm–5pm – Sweet Workshop with The Sweet Shop Nantwich
A fun activity for little ones to fill and decorate their own colourful sweetie cone. Simply drop in and pay on arrival.

Places are limited, so we recommend booking early for the bookable workshops.

*Price Includes Booking Fee.

We’ll also be open for additional hours throughout Food Festival Weekend, so there’s even more time to pop in, browse the stalls and support our fantastic independent traders!🛍️
