Yesterday Surfers Against Sewage made their annual report on our waterways.

Across our country there's a new spill every 5 minuets, and most of these aren't small.

"Good quality" bathing spots aren't safe either. In a single year there was 224 Sewage incidents in Swansea Bay, a place that's supposed to be safe to swim in.

It's time the Welsh Government Steps up:

Trains haven't ran on the Vale of Neath line in over 60 years, we want to change that. This will help us reduce traffic, decarbonise our region, and make our communities safer for all.

and we're not just talking about it. Nathan has successfully began the process of reopening this line, we're now asking the NPT council and Transport for Wales to produce the business case to reopen this vital travel link through our communities.

A relaxed, guided photo-walk along the Neath Canal, with plenty of time to explore, notice the plant and wildlife, and take some photos! No photography experience needed (the walk is guided by a photographer), & phone cameras are absolutely fine. After an approximately hour long walk, we'll end....

On Thursday the prime minister hosted a COBR meeting to discuss the government's response to the ongoing wildfires. Absent from this meeting was any mention of tackling the climate change that has lead to the tinderbox conditions that are allowing these wildfires to spread so far.
The Westminster Government must take immediate action and suspend the licences for the undeveloped Rosebank and Jackdaw Oil Fields. The Labour government cannot both promise to ban all new oil projects while enabling these projects to progress. We must remove our reliance on oil and gas and move towards a sustainable future.
We thank our firefighters and emergency workers throughout our region and the wider nation for their work within these recent fires.

The English mayoral authorities are getting new funding powers to give them more power to shape the development of their regions. These powers must be expanded to Welsh councils to ensure that our regions do not fall further behind equivalent English regions, and to spread investment in Wales beyond the south-east.

Increasing the new funding powers would enable our council to invest in many underfunded areas. Strengthening our care services, creating new spaces, and relieving pressure on our NHS. Enabling regeneration and development projects, allowing us to build council houses, and boost our high streets. And allow councils to finally break out of the current funding crisis, stopping the council tax rises caused by spiralling debts.

For a party that’ll fight for regional devolution for Neath Port Talbot, vote green.
