Our work involves keeping the overhead power network clear of vegetation for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). We’ve just started a huge, eight-year contract covering the West Midlands and we’re looking for a great Area Manager to lead our surveying and cutting teams in Worcestershire.

This is a hybrid role: home- and field-based, with occasional travel to our regional office in Shrewsbury. Salary is dependent on experience.

BTS Group is very pleased to confirm that we are expanding our works with National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) following the award of an eight-year contract encompassing the whole of the West Midlands.

The contract, which commenced 1 April, includes resilience and maintenance vegetation management on the overhead power network, as well as reactive works.

As our team grows and work on new areas begins, we will maintain our focus on safety and quality. We are looking forward to our continued partnership with NGED, helping keep people connected across the West Midlands.

Thank you to Suffolk Wildlife Trust in Ipswich for hosting a Wild Work Day at Knettishall Heath last week! The BTS head office team ditched their desks for a day of clearing gorse and self-seeded saplings – preserving the terrain for important plants and critters that thrive on heathland.

BTS arborists Dean, Jamie and Reece decorating Bury St Edmunds Christmas trees ahead of the light switch-on this Thursday.

Bury Developments enlisted BTS to help hang the decorations, made by local schoolchildren, on The Traverse and Angel Hill. The Crafty Foxes once again imagined and organised the project – this year, the decorations were fashioned from recycled bottles!
