In My Element Ceremonies

In My Element Ceremonies I am a Sacred Celebrant trained and initiated on the Isle of Avalon (IPHM accredited).

I offer a range of ceremonies steeped in connection to nature using the wheel of the elements.

A suitable picture for New Year Eve- demonstrating jumping the broom which is often how couples close their handfasting- crossing the threshold into the next phase of their life together.

I am so grateful to have crossed several thresholds this year, and hope to be holding ceremonies for those celebrating some of life’s transitions in 2022.

What are you grateful for in 2021?

My Winter Solstice sing in the woods- I am happiest amongst the trees and on this special day I let my voice dance between them. The elemental beings appreciated it.

Every year I take out the wreath base my Mum made me many years ago from the Virginia creeper from their house and create my wreath, foraging all the foliage.

This years features:
Holly- associated with death and rebirth and yule itself
Cypress- associated with the everlasting nature of the soul
Ivy- of the goddess, protective
Pine- prosperity, protection, cleansing- also very Yule!
Rose (dried and hips)- the divine feminine, love.

Like anything with plants, I always believe what we find or what grows near to us is exactly what we need.

Sourcing everything for ceremony is integral to my practice. Making my wreath mag not be a ceremony, but it is certainly a ritual.

Of course I held hands with the dryad! This would be a gorgeous wood to hold a ceremony, powerful energy (unsurprising as the sculpture trail is linked to the witchcraft trials 400 years ago). See my story for my face at being stood next to the ‘witch finder’.

Last nights collective incense blending ceremony as part of my Full Moon in Taurus(and Lunar Eclipse) circle.
I sourced all incense ingredients locally with intention, and prepared them over the past few months.
This invited everyone to connect deeply with their senses, with their intentions that they infused the blend with, and reflected on what self care means to them.
After they made their choice, the card underneath revealed what it was that they had chosen, and what the properties/correspondences are of that ingredient.
Such a wonderful group of souls.
I offer incense blending ceremonies in a variety of contexts, dm if you would like to know more.

Welcome Douglas Fir Green Man crafted by - this was the smallest of them there but spoke to me the loudest.

This tree’s correspondences are cleansing, protection and change.

A few lessons from Douglas Fir:
🌲 The whole of this tree holds great medicinal value.
🌲 He withstands the heat of forest fires and is the first to start rebuilding- starting with giving back into the land.
🌲 He finds what he needs from charred remains.
🌲 He develops a thick skin and yet is sensitive and responsive.
🌲 He gives without exhausting himself.

💚✨

My first blog post on here and it is a heartfelt one speaking of our recent pregnancy loss and how we used ceremony to honour our journey. It includes links to support services for anyone who might be affected by pregnancy loss. I share this in love and peace xx

My First blog post is a personal and heartfelt one. This website aims to demonstrate how I design and hold ceremony for others, but this post describes how I created and held a ceremony less than a month ago in the midst of grief having experienced pregnancy loss at 11 weeks. It is my intention that...

What do you think of this for a way to end your vows? I caught this at Sharnae and Jimmy's Wedding on 'Love on the spectrum' on Netflix. For me, it ties in with the belief that each day within a relationship we keep choosing each other.

Quietly calling in the elements at Coetan Arthur Dolmen today, a Neolithic burial chamber. Such magic, holding ceremony here would be immense (and would require a glorious 30 minute trek across the coastal path).
I call in the elements at the start of every ceremony, so we are fully connected and guided by nature.

Menarche Ceremonies
🩸 Marking the first bleed, I have felt the calling for years to offer a ceremony honouring this rite of passage. This is a sacred space for the girl, her closest supporting women, and me.
🩸Every woman I speak to has at the least an underwhelming story to tell of their first bleed- right up to the traumatic. How girls enter this phase shapes their development as a woman. Instead of stigma and shame, girls can feel empowered, honoured and connect to their cycle.
🩸Within the ceremony we will work with the senses, via incense blending, cacao, beautiful flowers, her special candle, music and a comfortable environment.
Each ceremony is carefully planned for each person via consultation, so that we can best support her.
🩸This rite of passage is still marked in many cultures, it is nothing new. And yet I know as I post this, it will feel new to some. School proms are now the norm and mark a rite of passage, and yet we do not commonly celebrate girls entering this profound new phase of her life that will span so much of her lifetime.
🩸I am here to offer this service, for all the women who wish it had been different for them, and for all the women to be who can take ownership of their cycles without fear, shame or negative connotation.
