Many Congratulations to Cllr Nadeem Ahmed who today became the first person to become Pendle Council’s first citizen twice! 🤩👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

He is a truly lovely man who was both a great Leader of the Council, and also of the Conservatives too.

Tonight, he gave a powerful, authentic and personal speech that moved us all.

I am so looking forward to seeing him carrying out his duties across the Borough and plan to ensure he and his wife, the Lady Mayoress, are invited to Colne Youth Action Group, Colne Junior Council, Pendle Heritage Centre, Trawden Garden and Scarecrow Festival, Trawden Agricultural Show, Colne Artisan Market and volunteer events by Gib Hill Guardians! 😁

One of our great councillors takes action! 👏🏻

Yup!

Today isn’t just about politics. It’s about us. Our streets. Our parks. Our kids. Our older residents. Our town.

Too often people say “nothing ever changes” while staying home on polling day. But change doesn’t happen by magic… it happens when ordinary people decide their voice matters.

Over the last few weeks I’ve knocked on doors, listened to concerns, met some incredible people, and already started helping where I can. Parking problems, anti-social behaviour, potholes, community concerns… I’ve rolled my sleeves up and got stuck in because that’s who I am.

I’m not a career politician. I’m a local woman who cares deeply about this area and the people in it. I know what hard work looks like. I know what community spirit looks like. And I know Vivary Bridge deserves someone visible, approachable, and willing to fight its corner.

If you want someone who will listen, care, and actually get things done rather than just appear for a photo every few years… then I’d genuinely love your vote today.

Polling stations are open until 10pm tonight.

Let’s not sit on the sidelines grumbling like football fans after conceding in the 93rd minute 😅 Let’s get involved and shape what happens next together.
